WWE NXT (1/1) Results: Big Tag Team Rematch

[Show: WWE NXT] [Location: Winter Park, FL] [Date: 1/1/14] [Airing live on the WWE Network]

Welcome To WWE NXT,  we kick things off with the following match:

Tag Team Match: The Lucha Dragons vs. Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger.

Kalisto and Dillinger start things off, They trade right hands to start this one off, Kalisto with an arm drag that leads Jason Jordan getting the tag. Kalisto goes for a springboard move, but blocked and Jordan hit a fall away slam for 2. Jordan throws him into their corner and puts the boots to him. The two double team Kalisto until he fights back and gets the hot tag to Sin Cara. This leads to Cara cleaning house on Dillinger. Cara with a springboard crossbody and a botched head takeover. Kalisto takes out Jordan with a dive over the top rope out to the floor. Cara hit a kick  to the head and a sunset head takeover off the top rope on Dillenger for the win.

Winners: The Lucha Dragons

After the match, The Vaudevillains attack them and lay them out with their finisher, which is an uppercut from Simon Gotch and a neck breaker from Aiden English.

Bull Dempsey is shown talking backstage with CJ Parker. Dempsey warns CJ about Baron Corbin. Bull said that tonight is for the greater good, not who wins or loses.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Blue Pants (a/k/a Leva Bates) vs. Carmella (w/ Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady)

Carmella throws her down by her hair, she gets distracted by Enzo for some reason and Blue Pants rolled her up out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: Blue Pants

After the match, Carmella tried to chase after Blue Pants, but Enzo and Big Cass held her back.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Baron Corbin vs. CJ Parker.

Corbin stares down Bull, he hit a snake eyes in the corner then a big boot and the end of days to wrap up this one.

Winner: Baron Corbin

After the match, Corbin does not take his eyes off of Bull. He grabbed the mic and asked if Bull was scared and if they are going to do this. Corbin grabbed Bull, who was at ringside and a brawl breaks out. The referee’s break them up and separate them.

William Regal announces that Sami Zayn will be making his return next week. All of a sudden, Curtis Axel appears and said hello. Axel said he wants a match here in NXT. Regal books him against Hideo Itami next week.

-Commercial Break-

The champ is in the house. NXT Womens Champion Charlotte makes her way down to the ring. Charlotte told the fans to shut up, she said that NXT is her home and NXT is revolutionizing Women’s wrestling. Sasha Banks said that good for Charlotte to be champion, but she is about to get the worst beatdown of her life. They circle the ring like sharks and are about to attack, but Natalya hits the ring before they can. They stare off with each other and we go to break.

Sami Zayn sent in a home made footage of him talking about Kevin Owens attack from a few weeks ago. He promises that he will be back soon and whatever he has to say then he will say to the fans and Owens personally.

Renae Young is talking to Kevin Owens in the arena when it is empty. Owens said that he is not a life long friend of Zayn and that he did not steal anything from Sami Zayn. He walks out and the main event has arrived.

Main Event: Finn Bálor and Hideo Itami vs. The Ascension.

The two teams break out in a brawl to get things started.. Things breakdown and Balor and Viktor are left in the ring. Balor lands a chop to the chest and covers him for 2. Balor and Itami double team Viktor early on. Balor with a series of chops in the corner, Balor gets on the apron, he tagged Konnor with a big boot and went for a springboard move, but Viktor knocked him of the apron and sending him crashing to the floor. We head to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with The Ascension in control of Balor. They double team him until he manages to fight back and gets the hot tag to Itami, who cleans house on Viktor. Itami with a series of kicks to him. Itami with a big boot, he goes for a DDT off the middle rope and connected. Itami with a flying clothesline off the middle rope. Itami knocked Konnor off the apron and Viktor hit the STO for a near fall. Viktor lifts him up,  but Itami slides out and goes for the GTS, but blocked. Itami with a big boot to Konnor. Balor hit a neck breaker to him. Balor hit a dive double foot stomp to Konnor on the floor. Itami hit a big kick to the face of Viktor for the win.

Winners: Finn Bálor and Hideo Itami

Balor and Itami celebrate in the ring to end the show.
