WWE NXT (7/29) Results: Tag Team Title Match

Welcome to NXT, we kick things off with a tag team match…

Tag Team Match: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

Enzo and Dawson start things off, they lock up. Dawson with a shoulder block, Dawson went to get the tag to Dash, but Big Cass got in the ring to stop it. Things calm down after a staredown. Enzo with a cross body to the now legal Dash. Enzo with a front senton on Dash then tagged in Big Cass. They trade right hands, Big Cass got the better of the two and tagged in Enzo, who hit a splash in the corner. Enzo off the top rope with a dive taking out Dash. Dawson distracted Enzo long enough for Wilder to throw Enzo shoulder first into the ring post. After a few moments of dominance by Dash and Dawson, Enzo ducked and got the hot tag to Big Cass. This led to Big Cass cleaning house on Dawson. Big Cass with a splash to Dawson, he then hit a big boot to Dash. Big Cass with a big powerslam to Dawson, he tagged in Enzo, who went for a dive, but was taken out by Dawson. Dash sent Big Cass into the ring steel steps. Dash and Dawson hit the Shatter Machine for the win.

Winners: Dash and Dawson.

-Commercial Break-

Chad Gable and Jason Jordan cut a promo about how they don’t need hype or a catchphrase to be over. Nobody compares to them. Ready, willing and gable. Yes, Gable.

Singles Match: Baron Corbin vs. Jesse Sorenson

Corbin with a knee to the gut of Sorenson then hit the End of Days for the win.

Winner: Corbin.

Tyler Breeze barges into William Regal’s office and demands who he will face at NXT Takeover. Regal told him to be careful for what he wishes for. Breeze stormed out of his office.

Tag Team Match: Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs. Elias Sampson and Manny Garcia

Sampson and Garcia doubled teamed Cable early on. Cable fought back when Cable ducked a clothesline and got the hot tag to Jordan. He speared Sampson then tagged in Cable where they hit their finisher for the win.

Winners: Cable and Jordan.

Dana Brooke cuts a promo backstage about how Charlotte is scared of her. She gets it, no one thinks that she can beat Charlotte. Similar to how she proved everyone wrong in the fitness world.

-Commercial Break-

Bull Dempsey is shown getting in shape with some cheap 1970’s music and graphics. Complete comedy segment.

Singles Match: Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke.

Charlotte shoved Brooke into the corner, but missed a spear, ate the ring post and Brooke rolled her up for 2. Brooke with a body scissors on Charlotte, she let go and sent Charlotte throat first into the ropes. Charlotte sidestepped Brooke, she hit a clothesline, then Natural Selection for the win.

Winner: Charlotte

Samoa Joe cuts a backstage promo about how next week he will prove to Rhyno that he is just the monster that Rhyno is and that he’ll choke him out.

Eva Marie cuts a backstage promo claiming that she’s just getting started and her goal is to become NXT Women’s Champion. She told Sasha Banks to watch her back.

Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Martin Stone.

Quick squash match. Owens hit the pop-up powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Owens.

Tag Team Title Match: Blake and Murphy © vs. The Vaudevillians.

Gotch and a Blake started things off. Gotch with an armdrag, he tagged in English, who hit a double arm drag on the champions and we cut to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Gotch having Murphy in an arm submission. English tagged in and hit an elbow drop on Murphy for 2. Murphy rolled to his corner, pressed English into their corner and tagged in Blake. English sent both men to the floor and fired up the crowd. Back in the ring, Blake caught English in the face with a big boot. Murphy tagged in and hit a splash on English in the corner. English rolled through and got the hot tag to Gotch. He hit an uppercut to Murphy. He rolled up Murphy for 2. Gotch with a back body drop, he tagged in English. English off the ropes, but Alexa grabbed his leg, which distracted him and Murphy rolled English up for the win.

Winners and STILL champions: Blake and Murphy.

Post-match, English and Gotch attacked the champions. They hit their finisher on Murphy. The champions rolled out of the ring. They allowed Alexa to get out of the ring, but she started talking trash to them. She slapped both of them. She then left the ring. The champs and challengers have a staredown to close the show.
