According to Ticketmaster’s website, WWE Payback, which had been scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, has apparently now been changed to WWE Extreme Rules, indicating that the WWE Payback PPV has been dropped from the schedule. As noted, tickets were set to go on sale this week for Payback.

The Prudential Center’s website has replaced the Payback logo with a regular WWE pay-per-view logo and the name Payback is nowhere on the event page. However, a press release for Payback tickets was just posted yesterday so this appears to be a last minute change from WWE.

Extreme Rules had previously been announced for April 24th, 2016 but no location was named. We’ll keep you updated on the change.

UPDATE: According to PW Insider, WWE Payback, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd, 2016, will now take place on Sunday, May 1st, 2016. A location has not been announced at this time but with Kansas City hosting the May 3rd, 2016 SmackDown taping, it is highly likely that it will take place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri

WWE Extreme Rules has been pushed back from late April to May 22nd, 2016 in Newark, New Jersey.
