— As announced earlier this week, the Discovery Channel is partnering with WWE to promote the 100th episode of Deadliest Catch. The reason for the new relationship is that the Discovery Channel is aiming for a higher level of advertising with WWE.

— Huffington Post Blogger Steven Kurlander has an article up about his experience at WrestleMania 28. In the article, he discusses not wanting to attend, going because his “John Cena fan” teenage daughter begged him to go, said that the event was worth the $40 parking and also called the event “great modern Americana.”

— The Cobo Arena in Detroit is going to be torn down, with banquet hall and convention center/show room taking it’s place in 2014. DetroitNews.com has an article up about the venue, discussing its history with the Pistons, wrestling, roller derby and concerts. The arena was the home of Big Time Wrestling during The Sheik’s big run, and from 1965 to 1975 was said to be one of the hottest venues in the country.
