Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown. Chris Jericho opens the show with a Highlight Reel segment. Jericho cuts a promo about putting Dean Ambrose in the hospital after his attack on Monday’s episode of RAW. Jericho said that Ambrose is not gonna be on the show because of him.This led to Jericho bringing out Sami Zayn. Highlights of Zayn attacking Kevin Owens on RAW was shown. Jericho called Zayn a sore loser for attacking Owens. Zayn said that he is a decent human being and that Jericho’s scarf makes him look stupid. They’re interrupted by Miz and Maryse. Miz said that he is the only one who can hold the IC Title and called out Zayn for getting in his business on RAW. Zayn touched the IC Title and mocked Jericho for his jacket. Jericho gets mad and walks out. Miz warned Zayn to not get in his business or else. Zayn touched the IC Title again. This sets up a match between the two stars.
-Commercial Break-
Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. The Miz. Kevin Owens was on commentary for this match.
Zayn hit a series of arm drags but Miz cut him off and put the boots to him. Zayn with a huge clothesline then sent Miz to the floor. Miz dragged him out of the ring and sent him into the apron. Zayn jumped off the barricade to take out Miz.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Zayn taking out Miz with a dive. Owens talked trash to Zayn and then attacked him.
Winner: Zayn via DQ.
Cesaro ran down to the ring and made the save. He stood tall with the IC Title to end the segment.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson spoke with AJ Styles backstage. They told Styles that he would have to extreme if he wants to beat Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules. Styles agreed and said that it’s time he had a little chat with Reigns.
-Commercial Break-
Tag Team Match: The Vaudevillains vs. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
Gotch and Axel exchanged some right hands then English and Dallas was tagged in. Gotch sent Axel to the floor while English hit a big boot to Dallas and then they hit their finisher.
Winners: English and Gotch.
Post-match, Big Cass walked down to the ring and took The Vaudevillains out for revenge of their attack on Enzo Amore at Payback.
-Commercial Break-
Tag Team Match: Natalya and Becky Lynch vs. Emma and Charlotte.
Natalya knocked down Charlotte then tagged in Lynch and they hit a double arm drag. Lynch with a series of leg drops for 2. Charlotte with a big boot to Lynch for 2. Emma was tagged in and put the boots to her. Natalya fought back and got the hot tag to Lynch, who sent Emma to the floor. Charlotte distracted Lynch and Emma attacked her from behind.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Lynch fighting back and getting the hot tag to Natalya who hit a series of clotheslines to Emma. Natalya with a drop kick then some more clotheslines. She went for the sharpshooter but Emma tagged herself in and attacked Natalya from behind. Emma hit a splash in the corner for 2 as Lynch broke it up. Lynch sent Charlotte to the floor. Natalya knocked down Emma and locked in the sharpshooter for the win.
Winners: Emma and Charlotte.
Styles found Reigns backstage and asked if Reigns plans on getting involved in The Usos vs. Gallows and Anderson match later in the show. Reigns said that he’s the champion, so he will do what he wants.
-Commercial Break-
There is a backstage segment with Darren Young and Bob Backlund. Young asked Backlund to be his life coach. Their new catchphrase is “Make Darren Great Again.”
Singles Match: Rusev vs. Zack Ryder.
Ryder caught him with a drop kick then a forearm shot. Rusev landed a series of kicks then locked in the Accolade for the win.
Winner: Rusev.
Post-match, Kalisto runs down and attacks Rusev. Kalisto then ran to the back.
There was a backstage segment with Fandango, Goldust, R-Truth and Tyler Breeze dancing.
-Commercial Break-
Tag Team Match: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Usos.
Jey and Anderson start the match off. Karl knocked him down and landed a series of right hands. Jey hit a drop kick then tagged in Jimmy and they hit a double elbow drop. Karl sent Jimmy to the floor. Karl kicked Roman Reigns in the face and Reigns attacked Anderson.
This led to a big brawl and our main event.
-Commercial Break-
Six-Man Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns and The Usos vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and AJ Styles.
Reigns and Styles started the match off and exchanged right hands. AJ backed him into the corner and Karl landed a series of right hands. Reigns hit a back elbow and rolled Anderson up for 2. Jimmy knocked Anderson down with a shoulder block but was backed into the corner by Anderson. Gallows landed a series of right hands. Styles was tagged in and Jimmy hit a drop kick. Reigns and Anderson got the hot tag. Reigns hit a series of clothesline to him then knocked Styles off the apron. Styles came back and used the top rope on Reigns. Jimmy took out Gallows at ringside. Reigns hit the Superman Punch to Anderson. Styles kicked Reigns in the face and Anderson covered Reigns for 2. Anderson hit a spinebuster to Reigns for 2. Reigns battled back and hit a spinebuster to Anderson.
Winners: Reigns and The Usos
Reigns and Styles had a staredown to close the show.
