I completely forgot we had a PPV today. You wouldn’t know it because there was only two confirmed matches heading into the go-home edition of RAW this past Monday, I have looked over the card on numerous occasions and while it shows some promise, WWE has shown that it can easily bomb a show, just like that. With that said, here are my predictions on who should win and why they should win. I am not responsible for any money lost, so if your gambling, do so at your own risk.

Naomi and Tamnia Snuka vs. The Bella Twins

This match feels more of like a placeholder for time as opposed to a match that should be here. Sure they could have had this tag match on RAW or Smackdown and have a Divas Championship match at the PPV, but where would be the fun in that? Why don’t we repeat WrestleMania all over again? I am under the impression that WWE is stalling a potential Divas run for Naomi and I do not know why. This just needlessly extends Nikki’s title run, and if you ask me, it’s about time that we had a new face of the Divas Division, whether it be someone currently on the main roster or a call-up for NXT. Whoever wins this match won’t have much going for them after because it is just featuring the two Divas fighting for the championship and supporting characters. Just for the mere sake of me wanting to see Naomi get some momentum, I’ll go with Team Namina.

Winners: Tamina Snuka and Naomi

Neville vs. King Barrett

Coming off an impressive performance against John Cena followed by an impressive decision of protecting Neville with a DQ victory over the face of the company, I say to strike while the iron is incinerated. Barrett already beat Neville to win King of the Ring, so I’d say it is about time that Neville gets his revenge. To be quite frank, I am on the edge with Barrett. I am this close to giving up on him. You win the King of the Ring that has been reincarnated, and one would think this would be the rejuvenation that Barrett needs for his career. Instead, he keeps dropping matches and he is slowly starting to lose the audience. The time is now for Barrett to make his run to relevance or call it a failed career. I am going with Neville in this match, because he has more to gain right now and he is one of the better talents on the roster. A singles victory on PPV would do wonders for him.

Winner: Neville

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus

I was immensely disappointed in their match at Extreme Rules last month. To me, it was just a lot of stalling and it didn’t get good until the final sequences. It wasn’t bad of course, but Ziggler and Sheamus are both capable of stealing any show that they are on because the two are that talented, and I am expecting a greater performance this go around. However, this match needed a stipulation that was barbaric. A street fight or a no holds barred match (yes I know they are the same thing) would have sufficed. Ziggler made Sheamus shed blood and he had also cost him a match against Neville at King of the Ring. Sheamus lost his first match against Ziggler but still humiliated him by making him kiss his bare upper thigh (not his ass people, no cracks were shown so it doesn’t count). To me, Sheamus gets the win here, as he should the last time. You can’t have a top heel in the company such as Sheamus and have him lose clean in his first PPV match being re-packaged. I can’t see him lose two in a row. This is especially considering that he lost cleanly to Dean Ambrose before the match with no interference. Can you have any sadder booking of a top heel? Well, we are talking about WWE here so I can’t say that I am surprised at this point. Sheamus wins here, but I pick him with healthy caution.

Winner: Sheamus

The New Day (C) vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro – WWE Tag Team Championship (2 out of 3 Falls)

These two managed to steal the show in a regular one-fall-to-a-finish tag match on a show called Extreme Rules. That was just one fall by the way. Now we get to see two out of three falls. Now let me be the first to admit that I may have misjudged A New Day and was ignorant to see the bigger photograph. This whole time they were just trolling us and they have started to gain some heat as a result and have become a central point of WWE programming the past month. Good on them. They aren’t just doing it outside of the ring, but they are producing just as well inside it. This can very well steal the show once again if given ample time, and my preference would be 15-20 minutes. As for Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, they have certainly played their role well leading up to this match, serving as an antithesis for A New Day. As for the winners of this match, A New Day regains the title for another day (see what I did there?). With the Elimination Chamber coming up and with it featuring a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship, I can’t see WWE putting the belts back on Kidd and Cesaro when A New Day is just starting to scratch the surface of their heel run. They certainly have earned more time if you ask me and even if it proves to be an unmitigated disaster in the end, let’s face it, we shouldn’t be wanting to see the same people holding the belts. The belts are worn and destined to be handed to someone else eventually, but not today.

Winner: A New Day

Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt

This feud is what I call a garbage feud. It occurs when you pick two people on the roster randomly who aren’t currently preoccupied and you place them in a feud together hoping one man’s irrelevance becomes another man’s, well, relevance. You don’t go from feuding with the Undertaker to Ryback and expect people to have the same energy. Bray has been regurgitating the same message to us from a room likened to that of the weed room from That 70’s Show and Ryback, bless his soul, is in one hell of a rut right now. I give credit to WWE for finding something for him to do, but there couldn’t be a guy with any worse chemistry than Bray, as opposed to Kane of course. Ryback relies on his power, but he can’t do that against Bray because he’s a big boy as well. Hopefully this match is mercifully short, and I hope that the same thing goes for this feud. Apparently we are supposed to feel sympathy for Ryback for overcoming a broken ankle. I think we can all respect Ryback in that regard but his delivery is simply not there. The crowd doesn’t seem to want to here Ryback here the same story with the “Boring” chants that he was serenaded with not too long ago. Pick a name out of the hat for the winner of this match, but I say Bray Wyatt goes over.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

John Cena (C) vs. Rusev – United States Championship (I Quit Match)

In case you haven’t seen the stipulation for the match, it is basically a spoiler. Heels don’t normally win I Quit matches, but for Cena it holds especially true. More often that not we have seen the heels used the archaic method of getting a tape recording of the opponent saying the words “I Quit” and holding it to the microphone. It’s become such a central part of these types of matches recently that you can almost guarantee that it is bound to happen. What you can also expect is for Cena to get his ass handed to him for about 10 minutes straight getting no offense in. Then, my best assumption is that Lana makes her presence known and Cena undergoes a quick flurry and Rusev will have no choice to spit out those words. If you haven’t watched any promo from Cena in the past 10 years, I suggest you watch one and see why he’s not losing this match. I can’t help but feel that this is why careers go down the toilet after you feud with Cena. On the totem pole of star-making, you have Cena, and then there is everyone else. Rusev is basically in the same position Bray Wyatt was at this point last year. Both had signature wins heading into WrestleMania, then they lose to Cena and proceeded to lose to him and upcoming PPV’s. In Rusev’s case, he gets to lose to Cena three straight times on PPV. That has to be some sort of record or something. I like Rusev, so hopefully this won’t be the end. I’d actually vouch for him going inside the Elimination Chamber for the Intercontinental Championship. But man, I can’t say that with a definitive smile now can I?

Winner: John Cena

Seth Rollins (C) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

To the casual viewer, the writing is on the wall for Seth Rollins. He has been pinned by every one of his opponents leading up tot he match and he doesn’t have to be pinned to lose the title. Not to mention that he mathematically only has a 25 percent chance of retaining, so what hope is there? According to the majority of the viewing audience, this is the same old shtick WWE likes to play. This is basically Randy Orton before the Elimination Chamber last year. He gets pinned or loses to every one of his opponents leading up to the match with the exception of Christian (but what luck does he have against Randy anyways) before beating all of them. The same thing should happen tonight. Kane’s job is on the line, because we must care about him, so you can expect him to make his presence known. But him interfering is nearly a foregone conclusion, so I suspect that something else may happen. Perhaps Dean Ambrose turns heel in the match. Perhaps Reigns forgives Rollins of his transgressions an forgives him of everything and helps him retain. Let me say though, the heel/face balance of this match is completely out of whack. 3 faces and 1 heel? Come on now. Anyways, the safe choice is Rollins here and if the match gets the time, it can be a doozy. The insertion of Ambrose changed the complexity because everyone knows how slow the match would be if it was just Reigns and Orton. I expect a great match, lots of interference, a screwy finish and Seth retaining.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Don’t you worry guys, I have your match ratings after the show. Until then my friends.
