Impact Wrestling (5/15) Results: Hardcore War

Kurt Angle makes his way down to the ring with Chris Melendez to open Impact Wrestling. Josh Matthews is joined by Mike Tenay on commentary. Angle says Eric Young’s plan to have the BDC on his side blew up in his face. He puts over Melendez as a true American hero. Angle says it would be an honor for Melendez to team up with him tonight for Hardcore War. Melendez shakes Angle’s hand. The Rising make their entrance.

Angle calls The Rising a breath of fresh air because they stand up for what they believe in. He says himself, The Rising and the fans love wrestling. Angle thank’s The Rising and Drew Galloway says the gesture is unnecessary. Galloway says Angle and everyone in the arena is part of The Rising. Galloway warns Angle that one day the time will come where they will compete for the title. He says he’s going to win when the time comes. Angle smiles and says he will never back down from a challenge.

EY comes out heated and says it took him weeks to get his title shot. He claims Angle stacked the deck against him and says he was screwed. EY claims he is still the number one contender and he won’t stop until he gets a title rematch. Angle tells him to shut the hell up. He says EY’s plans nipped him in the ass. EY says he won’t stop until he is champion again. Angle says he will defend the title against EY in an “I Quit” match with no outside interference at a later date. EY says Angle has surrounded himself with losers and introduces his team.

The BDC attacks Angle’s team from behind. EY’s team was gaining the edge until Bobby Lashley cleaned house. He spears EY and Angle reveals Lashley is the last member of his team.

-Commercial Break-

Knockouts Tag Team Match: The Dollhouse vs. Brooke and Rebel

The Dollhouse attacks Rebel and Brooke as they were on the apron. Marti Bell and Jade gain the early advantage on Rebel. Jade is reversed and Rebel briefly gets the upper hand. Jade regains control with some help from Marti. Jade misses a dropkick, allowing Rebel to tag in Brooke. Jade can’t handle the onslaught from Brooke. Brooke lands a European uppercut and some forearms. Brooke reverses a powerbomb into a facebuster. Rebel misses an aerial maneuver, and The Dollhouse takes advantage. The Dollhouse snags the win after Rebel is pinned.

Winners: The Dollhouse

Taryn Terrell grabs a mic and tells Gail Kim she had fun with her family. She tells Kim and everyone else to stay tuned to see what she’s talking about.

Backstage, The BDC discusses their plans for tonight. EY demands MVP tells him the status of Homicide. He says he’s the leader of the team and claims he has someone in mind to replace Homicide for the match.

-Commercial Break-

EC3’s music hits as we return from the break. He is in a suit and is out with Tyrus. EC3 says the button worn on his suit represents the nation … one nation under EC3. He says the top five list for world title contenders is a bunch of bullcrap. He says the man who is number one (Eric Young) already lost and him being at the top of the list is nonsense. He says he wants answers when Anderson’s theme hits. Anderson rushes to the ring with a steel chair and leaves it on the apron.

EC3 says he and Anderson are done. Anderson says he wants to fight someone tonight. He says he has an idea. If he beats Tyrus, he gets a rematch with EC3. EC3 declines as he is hit with an object from the crowd. Anderson says Tyrus will always be EC3’s bitch. Tyrus demands a referee and the match is on.

Singles Match: Mr. Anderson vs. Tyrus

Anderson gets an early jump on Tyrus. Tyrus eventually slams Anderson to the mat and follows it up with two elbow drops and a back body splash. Tyrus lands a move resembling Big E’s finisher and Anderson kicks out. Anderson attempts the Mic Check, but he’s thrown down on the mat. Tyrus lands a powerbomb, but Anderson gets his shoulder up. EC3 enters the ring with a chair and referee Earl Hebner throws him out. Josh Matthews says this is a conspiracy.

Anderson is playing possum. Tyrus slowly lifts up Anderson and is reversed into a Mic Check. Anderson picks up the win.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

-Commercial Break-

We come back with a recap of James Storm presenting gifts to Mickie James before getting leveled by a guitar shot from Magnus. Speaking of Magnus, he makes his way to the ring in wrestling gear. He says he will never apologize to James Storm and called him a sick son of a b—- and calls him out. Storm’s music plays, but Revolution member Abyss comes out with a mic.

Abyss says Magnus’ actions last week will bring upon consequences. He says he’s going to hurt Magnus. They brawl outside the ring. Magnus throws Abyss into the ring post. Magnus gets clocked with a pan. Abyss brings some cookware from the set of BBQ Pit Masters into the ring. They return to the ring and Abyss hits Magnus with a folding chair and then back to the pan. Magnus has Abyss’ private parts in a pinch with the tongs. Magnus goes to town on Abyss with the top of a grill. The Revolution gangs up on Magnus and lays him out.

We cut to a promo hyping the first match in the “Best of 5” series for the TNA tag team titles.

-Commercial Break-

Tag Team Match: The Dirty Heels vs. The Wolves

Bobby Roode and Davey Richards kick off the match. Richards tags in Eddie Edwards rather quickly. Roode gains an edge and tags in Austin Aries who delivers a double ax handle from the top rope. The Wolves tag each other back and forth while doing a number on Aries’ arm. Richards lands a double axe handle of his own. The Wolves double team Roode with a drop toehold and jumping elbow. More double teaming on Aries.

Roode finally has Edwards grounded. He knees Edwards in the back. Aries lands a slingshot move to capitalize on the double team position Roode set up. Roode distracts the referee, who doesn’t see Edwards tagging in Richards. Edwards counters the double team and lands a dropkick on Roode from the top turnbuckle. He tags in Richards. Richards throws Roode into Aries. He lands a jumping forearm.

Richards springboards on the ropes into a jumping knee on Aries. The Wolves attempted a powerbomb into a team move, but Roode pulled Edwards out of the ring. Aries lands a suicide dive on The Wolves. Back in the ring, Roode attempts a powerbomb, but Richards turns it into a sunset pin and gets the win.

Winners: The Wolves

The Rising is in the back. Galloway says Mica is in the Hardcore War, but Eli Drake is out. Angle, Melendez, and Lashley approach them. Angle thanks The Rising and says it doesn’t matter who EY’s last partner is.

We cut to The Dollhouse gossiping. Taryn says she spent some quality time with Gail Kim’s stepdaughters. She says even more important is what she’s going to wear for Kim’s husband. She says she’s going to the ring to reveal what she will wear.

-Commercial Break-

Storm approaches The Revolution in the back. He says he didn’t ask to attack Magnus. He slaps Khoya and grabs Manik. He then gets in Abyss’ face. He warns his group to not do things without his consent first again.

Out comes the Dollhouse again. Taryn says she knows she teased everyone and says The Dollhouse creates fantasies, but that’s all they’ll ever be. TNA has raised the volume of the crowd to the point where I can barely hear Taryn. She shows an image of her with Kim’s stepdaughters. She says that pales in comparison to the time she’s going to have with Robert Irvine, Kim’s husband. They play generic rock music as Taryn shows off a whole lot more skin than clothes.

Kim makes her way out and gets in Taryn’s face. She says Taryn has crossed the line. Marti calls Kim a buzzkill. Kim asks Taryn if she really wants to go down that road. Taryn says Kim is nothing compared to her and ever her husband knows that. Kim slaps Taryn and clears The Dollhouse out the ring.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Jessie Godderz vs. Robbie E

Robbie E rolls up Jessie in a few seconds for the win.

Winner: Robbie E

Jessie grabs a mic and tells the referee to restart the match. Robbie E agrees and we have another match.

Singles Match: Jessie Godderz vs. Robbie E II

Jessie slams Robbie E to the mat and taunts. Robbie E reverses Jessie and gets another pinfall.

Winner: Robbie E

Jessie says his trunks aren’t even tied. He asks for a third match and says winner takes all.

Singles Match: Jessie Godderz vs. Robbie E III

They lock horns and Jessie gets a shoulder bump. Robbie E lands a jumping clothesline. Jessie throws Robbie into the bottom turnbuckle and lands a dropkick. Robbie E gets a crucifix for the third pinfall in a row.

Winner: Robbie E

Jessie refuses to believe he lost for a third time. He hits Robbie E with the mic. He clotheslines Robbie. He throws the referee outside the ring. Jessie lifts Robbie over his head and throws him outside the ring. Jessie reaches under the ring and grabs a chair. He places it over Robbie’s neck and rams him into the ring post.

Angle tells his team tonight’s the night they take out EY. We cut to EY getting ready to reveal the last member of his team when Low Ki tells the camera guy to get out.

-Commercial Break-

Anderson cuts a promo in the back. He says a friend of his is building something to fit Tyrus in so that he can get his hands on EC3 one on one.

Hardcore War: Team EY (Eric Young, Low Ki, Kenny King, MVP, and ???) vs. Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Drew Galloway, Bobby Lashley, Mica, and Chris Melendez)

Galloway and Low Ki get the match started with pipes. Galloway uses his legs to push Low Ki into the barricade. He chops the chest of Low Ki. Galloway is getting the better of Low Ki on the outside. Kenny King makes his way down the ring and kicks Galloway in the head.

Team EY now has the advantage. King chokes Galloway with his shirt. Low Ki and King throw Galloway into the barricade. Low Ki and King return the favor on Galloway with chest chops. Team Angle’s Mica runs down the ramps and hits King with a nightstick. Galloway suplexes Low Ki as King chokes Mica with a pipe.

Out comes Eric Young with a trash can lid. He uses it to attack Galloway and Mica. With Galloway in a tree of woe position. Young places Mica on the top turnbuckle and attempts a superplex. Galloway lifts himself up for a german suplex position and everyone is laid out. Kurt Angle makes his way out with a nightstick and attacks everyone standing on Team EY. Matthews reminds the audience that the match doesn’t officially start until all team members have made their entrance.

-Commercial Break-

We return and MVP is in for Team EY. Chris Melendez is in for Team Angle. MVP and Melendez duke it out in the center of the ring. Team EY’s last member is revealed and it’s Bram. He attacks Mica with a kendo stick on the outside. Team EY is taking advantage of the number’s game. MVP throws Angle into Bram, who nails Angle in the body with the kendo stick. Lashley rushes down the aisle without a weapon. He clotheslines Bram and the referee enters the ring. Lashley spears Young. He ducks all of King’s attacks and gives him an Oklahoma slam.

MVP lands a big boot on Lashley but fails to secure a three count. Lashley reverses MVP with a spear. Bram rakes the eyes of Lashley and bashes him in the head with a kendo stick. Mica takes out Bram. King then takes out Mica. Galloway leaps over the top rope and hits MVP, Bram, Low Ki, and even Mica. Angle climbs up the top rope and lands on everyone hit by Galloway.

Back in the ring, Young rakes the eyes of Melendez. Young is hit with a big boot from “The Sarge” Melendez. That’s not enough as Young hits the piledriver and gives his team the win.

Winners: Team EY (Eric Young, Low Ki, Kenny King, MVP, and Bram)

After the match Young punches referee Brian Hebner and removes Melendez’s prosthetic leg. Angle berates Young, who hits Angle in the head with it. Young chokes Angle with the prosthetic leg to end Impact Wrestling.
