Impact Wrestling (8/12) Results: TNA vs. GFW, Jeff Jarrett In Charge And More

We are shown Jeff and Karen Jarrett entering the Impact Zone with Global Force Wrestling talent to open Impact Wrestling. The show cuts to a recap of Bully Ray being taken out last week and Jeff stepping in to run Impact for the night.

Jeff walks out to the ring holding his King of the Mountain title alongside Karen. He says he would’ve never expected that he’d be a champion in TNA as well as running Impact Wrestling in 2015. He announces his TNA career is done. He hypes tonight as GFW vs. TNA to create a new rivalry. He says his King of The Mountain title will be on the line when he is interrupted by Eric Young.

EY enters the ring and says he doesn’t care about the fans or Jeff. He calls himself the king of the world. He even claims he’s God as Karen looks at EY like he’s insane. EY wants a match with Jeff for the belt and says he wants to end Jeff’s career. Jeff says he can kick EY’s ass with no repercussions. He puts EY in the King of The Mountain match tonight for the title. EY attacks Jeff, but the GFW talent rush in before any serious damage is done. The TNA roster comes out and brawls with GFW.

-Commercial Break-

The GFW guys are talking about not getting any respect from TNA talent. Jeff tells them to get focused on competing tonight.

Knockouts Singles Match: Lei’D Tapa (w/Royal Red) vs. Awesome Kong

The beginning of the match was a test of strength for the two ladies as neither could knock each other down. Eventually, Kong brought Tapa down with a crossbody for a two count. Tapa nailed Kong with a big boot and only got a two count. Tapa landed a Samoan drop on Kong, but failed to get the three. The two ladies brawled on the outside and were counted out.

Match Ended In Double Countout

The two continued to brawl until Kong scoop slammed Tapa on the entrance ramp.

A graphic appeared, revealing Drew Galloway and PJ Black have been added to the King of the Mountain title match. PJ Black said he was here representing GFW and himself. He ends the short interview by taking a phone call.

-Commercial Break-

Galloway talks about stealing the show at Slammiversary in the King of the

Mountain match. He says he’s proud to represent TNA, but he’s even more focused on winning the belt for himself.

Booby Roode is in the ring with a microphone. He says there are a lot of unknowns and those unknowns are impacting him negatively. He’s upset that he wasn’t considered for tonight’s title match. Roode calls out Rockstar Spud. He reminds Spud that Aries’ TNA career is over because of him. He congratulates Spud sarcastically. Spud calls Roode a condescending prick. Spud gets fired up and says he’s always had faith in himself and that’s why he’s accomplished so much.

Roode says Spud has been an underdog his entire life and credits him for his abilities. He admits he shouldn’t take his aggression out on Spud, but he is. He says if he was in Aries’ shoes last week, he would’ve beat Spud. He says he can take his aggression out on anyone he wants. Spud rocks Roode in the jaw with a right hand and Roode clotheslines him. He chokes Spud with his own suit jacket and lands the Roode Bomb.

Roode then throws Spud to the outside and rams Spud to the ring stairs. He then latches on the crossface before refs finally intervene.

-Commercial Break-

Jeff is in the back with Roode and he’s pissed. Roode asks Jeff if he remembers who he is. Roode says that was a wakeup call to Jeff and that he isn’t his boss from here on out.

KoTM Qualifier Match: Lashley vs. Jesse Godderz

Lashley clotheslines Godderz and lifts him over his head for a press slam. He goes for a spear, but Godderz exits the ring. Lashley completes a delayed suplex. He goes for another spear, but Godderz avoids it. Godderz lands a dropkick and rakes his forearm on Lashley’s face. Lashley bounces back with a spinning elbow and a belly to belly. He hits the spear later for the victory.

Winner: Lashley

Drew Galloway is down and out in the back.

-Commercial Break-

Jeff, Dixie, and Karen are concerned about the main event. Jeff says he has suitable replacements. Dixie says she’s going to see Drew in the hospital.

EC3 is out with Tyrus. He gloats about defeating Matt Hardy in the Full Metal Mayhem title match last week. Matt comes out to challenge EC3 for the belt in a rematch. EC3 declines and Tyrus attacks Matt. EC3 follows it up with a shot to the head with his title.

The Wolves and the team of Bryan Meyers and Travis Lee are heading to the arena.

-Commercial Break-

Taryn tells Marti Bell and Jade to compete against Gail Kim in a steel cage match and end her forever next week. It’s then revealed that Chris Mordetzky will be in the KoTM match. “The Adnois” says it’s an opportunity to rewrite his legacy.

Tag Team Match: The Wolves vs. Bryan Meyers and Travis Lee

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards do their usual wristlock combination on Meyers. Lee gets hip tossed in his efforts to disrupt the double team. The Wolves landed a suicide dive on their opponents. Lee and Meyers gain some momentum as they keep Edwards grounded. The Wolves eventually win with the Force of Nature on Lee.

Winners: The Wolves

-Commercial Break-

Lashley says the only reason he’s a wrestler is to win. He says he wants to defend TNA in the KoTM match and he’s destroying everyone.

Singles Match: Tigre Uno vs. Sonjay Dutt

Dutt’s hurricanrana sent Uno to the outside. He then connected with a baseball slide and another hurricanrana off the ring apron. He sends Uno back in the ring and lands a springboard splash. Dutt goes for a hurricanrana off the top turnbuckle, but Uno rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Tigre Uno

Jeff lets EC3 know that he will defend his title against the winner of the KoTM match next week.

-Commercial Break-

Anderson says he’s been contemplating retirement, but won’t rest until he brings Bram down. He issues an open mic challenge to Bram.

KoTM Title Match: PJ Black vs. Chris Mordetzky vs. Lashley vs. Robbie E vs.

Eric Young

Lashley sent EY to the penalty box immediately with a spear. Mordetzky went for the Adonis Lock on Robbie E, but Black landed a springboard sunset flip to send Mordetzky to the penalty box. Robbie hits the Boom Drop on PJ Black to send him to the penalty box. Lashley follows it up with a spear to get Robbie in the penalty box as Mordetzky and EY return and pounce on Robbie.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back and EY is celebrating a double team when Mordetzky rolls him up to send him to the penalty box. With everyone aside from EY on the outside, Robbie E dove off the penalty box to hit Lashley and Mordetzky. EY is out of the penalty box and he nails Robbie with a Piledriver on the steel steps. Robbie got pinned and sent to the penalty box.

Mordetsky went up with the title, but was interrupted by Black. He then attempted to hook the title on, but Lashley pushed him and Mordetsky off. Lashley then speared both of them. Lashley climbed up, but EY shoved him off. EY grabbed the title and nailed Mordetzky with it. He climbed up the ladder, but Black did a springboard on the ladder and met EY at the top. Lashley climbed up the top turnbuckle and speared EY off.

Black climbed the top of the ladder and hit Lashley with a 450 splash. He then hooked the title to become the new KoTM champion.

Winner and new King of the Mountain champion: PJ Black
