“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

WWE RAW Opener

This week’s show, which takes place from Everett, Washington, kicks off with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ music hitting.

Rollins, by himself, makes his way down to the ring with a microphone. Rollins brags for a few minutes about “breaking the face of the man who runs the place,” before mocking John Cena with his own “You Can’t See Knee” gesture, relpacing “Me” with “Knee,” of course.

From there, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion goes on to mention that he would understand if Cena wanted to forefit his title vs. title “Winner Take All” match at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 23rd. He does say, however, that if Cena doesn’t show up, then Rollins wins by default and adds the WWE United States Championship to his growing collection of gold belts.

Rollins then goes on to talk about a rumor he heard regarding Cena being scheduled to show up at this week’s edition of WWE Tough Enough, which airs tomorrow night on the USA Network. Rollins then mocks Cena for being “Tough Enough” to show up to the “Tough Enough” reality show, but points out his belief that Cena isn’t “Tough Enough” to face Seth Rollin

As Rollins continues to ramble on at the mouth, finally, Cesaro interrupts him. “The King of Swing” makes his way to the ring with a mic talking about how Rollins goes “on and on and on and on and on” (he literally said it that many times, possibly more).

Cesaro enters the ring and talks about open challenges. Rollins says he never said anything about an open challenge and then asks Cesaro what he has ever done to earn a shot at his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

From there, Kevin Owens’ music hits and he too makes his way down to the ring with a mic in hand. Owens brings up the fans, who he calls an idiot, for handing out thousands of “Cesaro Section” signs. He says that’s not enough to earn a title match

Owens says he, on the other hand, has beaten John Cena. He says if anyone deserves a shot at the title, it’s him. The announcers then talk amongst themselves about who is the most deserving challenger to Rollins’ title.

Just when you thought enough people ran in for this RAW opening segment, out comes Randy Orton. “The Viper” makes his way to the ring with a mic in hand, making jokes, one-by-one, about each person standing in the ring. Orton basically demands a title shot like the others did as well.

Rollins goes on to claim that no one in the ring has the authority to determine who — if anyone — gets to challenge him for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

With that said, “King of Kings” plays and out comes Triple H. He makes a triple-threat match for tonight between Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and Cesaro, where the winner will be the man to earn the right to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship. On that note, we head to a commercial break.

Team B.A.D. vs. Team Bella

After the commercial break, we see that Paige, Becky Lynch and Charlotte have joined the gang on commentary for this six-Diva tag-team match, featuring all three members of Team B.A.D. — Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina, taking on all three members of Team Bella — Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox.

Early on, the trio of Banks, Naomi and Tamina are having their way with Team Bella, taking turns dominating whomever the legal Diva in the match is.

Finally, Nikki Bella, the legal member of her team, starts to mount some offense, just as we head to a mid-match commercial break

We’re back from the commercial and the first thing we see is Banks in control of Nikki in the ring. Finally, a big melee breaks loose with all of the Divas getting involved. When the smoke clears and the dust settles, Brie ducks a super kick attempt from Tamina and rolls her up. 1-2-3. Team Bella picks up the victory.

Winners: Team Bella

After The Match

Once the match is officially in the books, Team B.A.D. hits the ring and attacks Team Bella, only for Team P.C.B. (Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch) to hit the ring as well. All hell breaks loose among the nine Divas. In the end, Team Bella, in true heel fashion, retreats to the back while Team B.A.D. and Team P.C.B. have a stare-off in the ring. We head to another commercial break on that note.

The New Day vs. Los Matadores

Now it’s time to return to the ring here in Everett, Washington, as Los Matadores and El Torito are already waiting for their opponents for this evening.

With that said, The New Day’s music hits and out comes the trio clapping and dancing like lunatics. As usual, Big E. and Kofi Kingston represent The New Day in this two-on-two tag-team contest.

Xavier Woods, also as usual, sticks around at ringside to yell like a crazy person, and despite the fact that he’s not holding a microphone, you can pretty much hear everything he is saying — 99.9 percent of which is annoying, which is basically his job.

All hell breaks loose in the finish for this match, much like the previous Divas bout, as Woods hit the apron to provide a distraction, only to be taken out by El Torito. However, the job got done regardless, as it was enough of a distraction for Big E. to score the pinfall victory in the ring. After the match, we shoot back to another commercial break.

Winners: The New Day

Backstage: Prime Time Players, Seattle Seahawks & The New Day

We see pre-recorded video footage of The Prime Time Players — Titus O’Neil and Darren Young — hanging out with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, as WWE is near their home field with RAW emanating from Everett, Washington tonight.

After that, Renee Young catches up with The New Day, who are in the middle of celebrating their recent victory. Their celebration is short-lived, however, as Renee Young informs them that they will be in a fatal-four-way match at WWE SummerSlam, taking on Los Matadores, The Lucha Dragons and the WWE Tag-Team Champion Prime Time Players for the WWE tag-titles.

Backstage: Triple H & Seth Rollins

From there, we shoot to another room backstage where we see Triple H talking with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Hunter and Rollins talk about the fact that Rollins will be defending his title against the winner of the aforementioned triple-threat match tonight on RAW. HHH gets Rollins pumped up so much so that by the time he leaves, he’s convinced that because John Cena can do it every week, so can he — only better. We head back to a commercial.

Number One Contenders Match
– Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro vs. Randy Orton

After the break, we shoot back live inside the arena in Everett, Washington, where Kevin Owens and Randy Orton are already in the ring. Out next is the third participant in this triple-threat number one contenders match — Cesaro.

The bell sounds and here we go. Owens immediately ducks an instant RKO attempt. Owens then focuses his attack on Cesaro, however Cesaro and Orton align momentarily to take out the former NXT Champion.

From there, things get plain crazy, as each guy takes turns hitting big moves, signature moves, double-team moves. Pretty much any-and-everything included in a pro wrestling playbook is featured in this contest.

In the end, however, Owens goes for his Pop-Up Powerbomb finisher on Cesaro, however “The King of Swing” managed to avoid it, and instead, Owens walks right into an “RKO out of nowhere” by Orton, which “The Viper” follows up by delivering a second RKO to Cesaro. 1-2-3. Orton wins the match and earns the right to challenge Rollins for the WWE title later this evening.

Winner and NEW Number One Contender: Randy Orton

Backstage: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

Backstage, Dean Ambrose cuts a promo about not having any friends growing up, but how he has a friend now. With that said, in walks Roman Reigns. The two talk about how as real friends they would do anything for each other. They say Luke Harper would do the same for Bray Wyatt, but noted the fact that Wyatt wouldn’t do the same for Harper. We head back to commercial.

Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose

We head back inside the arena where it’s time to return to the ring for our next match of the evening. Out first, to a huge pop from the fans in Washington, is “The Lunatic Fringe,” Dean Ambrose. During his ring entrance, we head to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial, we see Roman Reigns has made his way through the crowd. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper end up coming out shortly thereafter. We’ve got a loaded ringside area for what it supposed to be a one-on-one contest.

Wyatt bullies Byron Saxton out of his chair so he has somewhere to sit. Meanwhile, the action between Ambrose and Harper is getting intense. The action spills out to the floor, where Ambrose hits a flying elbow to a grounded Harper. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break.

We’re back from commercial and the first thing we see is Harper hitting a big slam on Ambrose for a close near fall pin attempt. The fans start chanting something about not being able to see the action due to Wyatt blocking their view at ringside.

Finally, all hell breaks loose as all four guys get involved. When the smoke clears and the dust settles, Ambrose is crotched on the top rope and falls right into a discus clothesline from Harper, his finishing move, for the 1-2-3..

Winner: Luke Harper

MizTV With Daniel Bryan, Stephen Amell & Big Show

After we return from the break, it’s time for our MizTV segment with — you guessed it — The Miz. Miz welcomes us to his show and then points out actor Stephen Amell, who is sitting in the front row. Miz dresses down Amell a bit before introducing his guest this evening, Daniel Bryan.

The fans go absolutely ballistic for their hometown boy Bryan, who informs us that no matter what, he would never miss an episode of RAW in his hometown. He does some cheap-pop type stuff and then Miz and Bryan talk about who the better performer on Tough Enough is.

Finally, Big Show’s music hits and out he comes to join the talk segment. Big Show is tired of the crap that comes out of Miz’s mouth. He calls him a cross-dressing Jedi manure spreader. Show asks if Miz honestly thinks he has a chance at winning the title. Show goes to address Bryan and a “please retire” chant starts. Show tells the crowd to find someone that can retire him. The music hits and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback making his return. Ryback gets a pop as he makes his way to the ring. Miz exits as does Bryan. Fans chant “feed me more” as Show and Ryback stare each other down

Bryan grabs Miz and rolls him back in the ring, right in between Ryback and Show. A “yes!” chant starts as Miz sands up and pleads with them. Show rams them both in the corner and tosses Mi across the ring. Show splashes Miz in the corner Ryback spears Show into Miz and hits a big clothesline. Bryan comes back in as another “feed me more” chant starts. Now a “yes!” chant starts as they wait for Miz to get up.

Ryback hits him with a Meathook Clothesline that knocks Miz right out of his shoes. Bryan hands over the I-C title to Ryback and the two celebrate to end the segment.

Rusev vs. Mark Henry

We shoot things back to the ring where we see Lana has joined the gang on commentary for this next match.

Out first comes the duo of Rusev and Summer Rae, followed by Rusev’s opponent this evening — Mark Henry. The bell sounds and here we go.

Rusev and Henry mix things up early on and Lana gets up early on to take out Summer Rae outside the ring. Lana ends up in the ring at Rusev’s feet. She stands up but Summer attacks her from behind and the referee calls for the bell to put an end to this match

Mark Henry tries to get involved but Rusev nails him and sends him into the steel steps. Summer unloads on Lana and slams her face into the mat while Rusev looks on. Rusev pulls Summer up and then tells her to crush Lana. Summer stomps and applies The Accolade on Lana before leaving her laying face down. Rusev and Summer raise their arms as a giant Bulgarian flag lowers from the ceiling.

Winner via Disqualification: Mark Henry

Neville vs. King Barrett

It’s time for our next match here on Monday Night Raw, and unfortunately for Neville and/or King Barrett fans, this one didn’t last long at all. We head to a commercial break before things get rolling.

We return from the commercial to see King Barrett is wrapping up his entrance and finishing his walk to the ring. Out next is his opponent for tonight, Neville. We see Stephen Amell watching on from ringside.

The bell sounds and here we go. Barrett’s size and strength overpower the smaller former NXT Champion early on. In the end, however, Neville catches Barrett with a big kick that drops “The King.” From there, he follows up with his top-rope “Red Arrow” finisher.

Winner: Neville

After The Match

Once the match is over, Stardust hits the ring and attacks Neville. He then goes outside of the ring and gets in Stephen Amell’s face in the crowd. Stardust pie-faces him, ala Lawrence Taylor and Bam Bam Bigelow in the 1990s. Amell chases after Stardust and ends up getting a hold of him in the ring. Security ends up hitting the ring to break things up.

Backstage: Triple H & Stephen Amell

Backstage, Triple H is pissed at what just happened with Stephen Amell. Amell asks HHH to let he and Neville handle things themselves. Triple H tells Amell he’ll never be a WWE Superstar. Regardless, HHH ends up making the match, as long as the appropriate paperwork is signed beforehand.

The commentators make the hard sell for the WWE Network before ridiculing anyone who purchases the event on PPV.

JoJo is backstage with Sheamus. She says Randy Orton is going to take on Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship next. She asks for his thoughts. Sheamus says he’s wondering who he’ll be rooting for. Will he root for Randy “Bore-ton” or Seth Rollins? Sheamus says something about The Goonies before laughing heartily. Sheamus says one thing is for sure: the Money in the Bank briefcase. When it’s the right time, he’ll become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Who knows? The right time may be tonight.

Randy Orton makes his entrance. He’ll face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, next.

Sheamus goes to hand the briefcase to the referee, and they stand there for a few long moments. Orton is late on his cue, but he finally gets there and gives Sheamus an RKO before he can cash in. Orton celebrates in the ring as Rollins lays at ringside broken, but still the champion.
