WWE announced last night on Raw that the December 8th edition of Raw, which will air live from Philadelphia, PA will not only be a three-hour LIVE edition of Raw, but will also see the return of the "Slammy Awards."
The Score in Canada will be airing the December 8th three-hour edition of Raw at the following times:
*December 8th at 8:15 PM (EST) with a short pre-show at 8 PM (EST) *December 9th at midnight (EST) *December 9th at 4 PM (EST)
The WWE TV taping in East Rutherford, New Jersey on December 30th has been changed from an ECW/Smackdown taping to a double Smackdown taping. Due to this the WWE has canceled the Smackdown taping in Lafayette, Louisiana on January 6th, 2009.
ECW will be taped with Raw on December 29th, 2008 as well as every Monday in January.
There are hopes on the NWA side of getting both Ric and Reid Flair involved with the new television show. Ric would not wrestle, but there are talks that he'd be used in the Foley style authority position or as a manager for Reid.
This is just a reminder that we will have LIVE backstage coverage of the double SmackDown! taping at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY today. We'll update with backstage news from the show throughout the afternoon. We'll do SOME arrivals as well. The first update will be posted around 3-4EST.
