WWE.com has announced a big Eight-Man Tag Team match for SmackDown's debut on myNetworkTV next Friday. Kane, JBL, MVP & The Brian Kendrick will be wrestling Rey Mysterio, Finlay, Batista & Jeff Hardy.
To confirm speculation, the first-ever Divas Champion vs. Women's Champion match will be taking place on next week's debut show on myNetworkTV as Michelle McCool tangles with Beth Phoenix.
WWE has changed the name & logos of their social network from "WWE Fan Nation" to "WWE Universe." Howard Finkel mentioned the change in a blog. It was reported a few months ago that Vince McMahon detests the word "fan," hence the "WWE Universe" name.
Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro will be a playable character in the upcoming SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 video game. Massaro was officially released from her WWE contract on July 9, a few weeks after the cutoff date for wrestlers under contract to appear in the annual video game. Former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni was released in early July 2005, but managed to make the final cut for the video game released later that year. Last year following the Chris Benoit double-murder suicide in June, THQ had to go to great lengths to pull Benoit's character out of the game and there was fear that the game would be delayed.
