Santino Marella put in a good word for Al Barone (an Ohio Valley Wrestling wrestler) to get the spot as his bodyguard.

With Michael Hayes serving his 60-day suspension for his racial remark, Christopher DeJosephs (Big Dick Johnson) and Ed Koskey are the interim head writers for both ECW and Smackdown. DeJosephs has been the head writer on ECW since Dave Lagana was fired, and Dusty Rhodes left for developmental.

The Hayes suspension surprised many within WWE, as several viewed Hayes as "untouchable."

WWE hall of famer Verne Gagne has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for years, and it has gotten worse in the last year.

Wild Bill Savage, a wrestler from Oregon in the 50's and 60's, passed away on 4/12.

Comando Loco, a Guadalajara local wrestler, died on 4/12 after a motorcycle accident.
