- Former WCW and WWE Superstar Steve “Dr. Death” Williams, 48, was just released from the hospital after surgery for a hernia. Williams came out of surgery and was saying he thinks it is time to retire as an active wrestler. WWE stopped using Williams as a developmental trainer a little over a year ago and he has been working a few independent dates ever since.
- WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is now looking at writing a second autobiography, working with former WCW announcer Mark Madden on the book. There is no timetable for the book but it’s something that Flair has wanted to do as a free agent. Flair was advertised as a special referee in a Bob Armstrong vs. Dan Sawyer match for the Global Championship Wrestling promotion on 8/23 but ended up posing for photos and signing autographs only. The show in Irondale, AL only drew 400 fans.
- Speaking of Flair, he and Hulk Hogan will be together at an autograph signing on 12/13 in Secaucus, New Jersey. Hogan has reportedly lowered his asking price for the signing from $75,000 to $50,000.
