Gilbertti/Kenney Backstage Firing News, Nash/Joe Pissed At Hall, Storylines

More Headlines:

» The reason that Glen Gilbertti and Pat Kenney were released as agents is because TNA president Dixie Carter felt having six-agents for a company that only runs two-hours of TV a week was overkill. Jeff Jarrett was told to pick two to let go as a result. Most of the shows have five matches, and six agents was seen as overkill. With Jim Cornette joining the ranks along with Dutch Mantell, BG James, Savio Vega, Glen Gilbertti and Pat Kenney, the call was made to downsize the agents. Mantell and Cornette were seen as safe, so it was down to Kenney, Gilbertti, Vega and James when the choice came to cut two of them.

» The people that were most upset about Scott Hall being at the Turning Point show were Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe. The storyline they wanted to get over in their match was that Joe took everything Nash had and still kicked out and was likely going to win if not for the low blow and Nash's feet on the ropes. Nobody has ever kicked out of two Nash powerbombs except The Undertaker. Nash and Joe worked hard on their match, even screening an old Sgt. Slaughter vs. Pat Patterson match for ideas. There is a feeling that because the fans were expecting Scott Hall to run in at any second, it really took away from the match. Nash and Joe didn't need Hall to get over their angle and TNA nor the two were not going to build a storyline or a match finish on the unreliable Scott Hall. The joke backstage was that Hall took a full year to show up for his scheduled pay-per-view appearance and there are still a lot of hard feelings towards Hall within TNA for missing last year's show. The storyline for Nash and Joe now is that Nash will refuse to fight Joe again because he beat him already while coming across as a bit of a coward. No pay-per-view rematches are in the works for the two right now but they are set to face each other multiple times on the upcoming European tour. Eventually the storyline will be that Joe gets TNA management to give him another match with Nash after Nash doing everything he can to avoid it. The idea is that Joe builds up outrage that he took everything Nash gave him and could only be pinned after a low blow and a tainted pin. That could change.

» Reposted: On Tuesday the 25th, the November 28th and December 5th editions of WWE Smackdown will be taped at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. I (Ryan Clark) will be covering this double SmackDown! taping next week. We're also going to TRY to broadcast WZR Radio from inside the arena. It could get loud so who knows how long we'll be able to go. Damien Damento is also expected to call in although I am hoping he holds off one more week so we can do that debate on Tuesday, December 2nd. It's simply to much to cover two editions of SmackDown!, do a live 2-hour radio show inside a loud arena, and hold a friendly debate with Damien Damento all at the same time. I hope to hear from him if this is possible shortly? On a side note, they are predicting a massive nor'easter snowstorm on Monday night and Tuesday so things may get even more complicated.

Advertisment: THREE TNA releases today..... more to come!
