Word is that the tension between Karen and Kurt Angle backstage has grown drastically since she filed for divorce. Realizing this, TNA apparently opted to let Karen go because they felt she wasn't as important to them as she thought she was. Kurt Angle apparently wasn't consulted before the decision was made.
