» SPOILER ALERT: Following Tuesday night's double Smackdown taping in Albany, NY, it was announced that at Armageddon Edge will defend his WWE title against Triple H and Jeff Hardy in a triple threat match.
» WWE's original plan for the Survivor Series was a triple threat match between Triple H, Jeff Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov. WWE added Hardy to the match because company officials believed a singles match between Triple H and Kozlov would not be entertaining. Hardy was simply added to make it better. There was no serious consideration in giving the WWE Championship to Hardy. The company wanted to protect Kozlov, but not put the title on him. Hardy would have likely done the job in the match had they not come up with the storyline involving Edge. Vince McMahon was said to be "noncommittal" regarding the finish of the match.
