TNA iMPACT Rating Rises This Week, New WWE Talent, Bourne Injury Update

» WWE developmental wrestler David "Punk" Otunga, who appeared on the VH1 reality series "I Love New York," has an account on MySpace, which you can reach at http://www.myspace.com/davidotunga He's a lawyer from Chicago, graduated from Harvard University in 2006, 28 or 29 years old, and engaged to actress Jennifer Hudson, whose mother, brother, and nephew were killed by her sister's ex-husband last week. As reported earlier, Otunga is taking a leave of absence from his training at Florida Championship Wrestling. Otunga's also got the typical WWE size as he's 6'1" and around 220 pounds.

» The official injury prognosis on Evan Bourne is a torn deltoid ligament and a dislocated ankle. Bourne has been fitted with a huge boot.

» This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT drew a 1.2 rating on Spike TV, up from their usual 1.1 rating. This was the company’s first broadcast in HD and featured the all-new redesigned Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. The highest rated segment featured the Mick Foley/Sting verbal exchange which popped a 1.22 rating. The lowest rated segment featured the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Tanahashi and Volador. The main event match of Kurt Angle vs. Abyss which featured Scott Steiner’s return drew a 1.18 rating, meaning the show retained most of the audience that tuned in for Foley and Sting.
