Ring of Honor issued the following press release today:

“Final Battle 2008” weekend will see Ring of Honor host four of the top Japanese talents out there during this historic two day event. Not only will we have current AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Champion, and NOAH’s only grand slam champion, Naomichi Marufuji making his return to Ring of Honor, we will also be honored with the presence of current GHC Heavyweight Champion, the only man to hold all three major Japanese titles (GHC, IWGP, Triple Crown), Kensuke Sasaki.

And as if that wasn’t enough, 12/26 & 12/27 will also mark the return of Katsuhiko Nakajima. Considered the future of Japanese pro wrestling by many, he stole the show at “Glory by Honor VII” in his GHC Jr. Title match against Bryan Danielson, and looks to do the same in his return to the ROH ring.

Now ROH has one more name to announce in conjunction with Pro Wrestling NOAH. In addition to the previously mentioned names, the closing events of 2008 will mark the return of former ROH World Champion, former GHC Heavyweight Champion, Takeshi Morishima. On the heels of a tremendous run as GHC champion, Morishima is excited to step back into the ring where he made his name in the United States. The former champion has not been inside the ROH ring since “A New Level” back in May where he defeated The Necro Butcher.

Matches featuring these amazing international talents will be announced in upcoming weeks. Tickets for both shows are now on sale at www.rohwrestling.com.
