» As noted last night on my weekly radio show, Big Vito is now taking independent bookings at VitoBookings@yahoo.com. Please contact him for bookings through that email address. Serious inquires only please.

» The 7/20 WWE Great American Bash PPV drew an estimated 122,000 buys domestically with 195,000 buys worldwide based on the company's first internal estimates. At this point with the early figures the show is down 22% from last year's 250,000 buys worldwide with 162,000 buys domestic. This would be WWE's second lowest number of the year just barely beating out One Night Stand at 194,000 buys. This year's Bash featured Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, Triple H vs. Edge for the WWE Title, CM Punk vs. Batista for the World Title and John Cena vs. JBL in a New York City Parking Lot Brawl as the top matches. Last year's show that drew a stronger number featured John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title, The Great Khali vs. Batista vs. Kane for the World Title and Randy Orton vs. Dusty Rhodes as the top matches. That was also the first PPV to come off the Benoit tragedy and there was doubt anything would draw for quite a while after that which wasn't the case.

» As posted Sunday night, Shelly Martinez is leaving TNA because she asked for a pay raise to turn down a movie booking and TNA wouldn’t give it to her. It’s being reported that she only asked for a $200 raise per appearance. TNA could have kept the former WWE Diva if they would have ponied up the dough.
