How Will Brock Lesnar Return to WWE?

2. “Paul, You Betrayed Me!”

Since Brock Lesnar was last seen in the company, there is one individual who has stood atop the mountain in WWE as one of the most dominant performers – and that is your Tribal Chief. Since returning to WWE, Roman Reigns has quickly risen the ladder. However, there’s something different about Reigns now. Reigns has turned his back on the WWE faithful after years of attempting to please this audience. Roman has even contracted a new “Special Council.” This Special Council is someone who Brock Lesnar happens to be very familiar with, and I think that’s something we can build off of.

I believe it’s time to reignite another old feud of Lesnar’s. Since Lesnar has typically contended against the Tribal Chief as a heel, I think we can shake things up with this go-around. The plan is simple. Brock Lesnar should not return to attack Roman Reigns, rather returning to attack Paul Heyman. Lesnar is furious at Heyman’s disloyalty. After Heyman and Lesnar battled side-by-side for years against people like Reigns, Heyman is now aligning himself with the enemy.

First, we have Lesnar return in a staredown with Reigns after a championship defense (let’s say at Summerslam.) The next night on SmackDown, Lesnar walks down to ringside to showcase the excellent mic skills he’s been hiding from us since 2004. In this promo, Lesnar calls out Heyman for being unfaithful. He calls out Reigns for thinking he could return on the SmackDown brand (the brand Lesnar helped establish) and dominate everyone. Lesnar doesn’t think Reigns is as tough as The Tribal Chief touts. Eventually, this leads to a Lesnar vs. Reigns match for the WWE Universal Championship where Lesnar picks up the victory as a dominant fan favorite. This effectively puts a spin on the relationship between Lesnar and Reigns and addresses the issue of Heyman switching up on Lesnar.
