Notable Wrestlers Missing from the Card

Note: This is not a full list of everyone on the roster who is not scheduled for the show. It excludes jobbers, injured talent, people who wouldn’t have normally been expected to appear on the show for some fashion, those who are unable to perform due to travel restrictions and so on. It also should be noted that much of the information regarding COVID-19 pandemic regulations and precautions is not public knowledge, so there’s no telling if anyone on this list or elsewhere is not going to be on the card due to those factors.

Brian Cage, Ricky Starks / Will Hobbs = The random thing between Cody and Darby Allin as a side step from this Cage/Starks vs Allin/Hobbs thing is a curious situation. Why pivot like that? Why not at least make it a triple threat with Starks involved so that Cage and Hobbs can be ringside while Cody has Arn Anderson?

SCU = Sometimes, I get the feeling Christopher Daniels is more in the company to give himself a place to work on his retirement, Scorpio Sky is the real person to push and Frankie Kazarian is along for the ride as long as he can hang in there. It’s a shame, as they have a lot to offer. But in the grand scheme of things, who would they have feuded with for this card that would have felt necessary to add in there? I’m okay with them being off this show.

Best Friends / Miro and Kip Sabian = I’m very surprised this wasn’t added onto the card. I would have thought this would make a good Buy In match. Maybe the thought is that it is a draw for the TV ratings, instead?

Jurassic Express = Of all the tag teams that are sitting there with nothing to do, Jurassic Express is the highest up on the totem pole. They could have won their No. 1 contender’s match, though, so I don’t entirely dislike their exclusion from this card. At least there’s a reason for it.

Lance Archer = No Archer vs. Cage? That would have been pretty cool.

Shawn Spears = How does this guy continually find himself with nothing to do? Man, if I were him, I’d be kind of pissed by now that I left my wife in WWE to go to AEW and be a go-to hand for Dark that never has a proper storyline. Give him the TNT title.

Britt Baker = Since they were going to randomly throw Nyla Rose back into the title picture, I guess they want to spend more time building a proper Baker vs Shida feud. Rushing it might have felt premature. But that’s where they should go next. I fully expect that for Revolution.
