The Phenomenal One A J Styles is the best wrestler to have not signed with the WWE since Sting. Styles left TNA after 11 years and now working the independent circuits, including Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Styles is currently making more money in the indies and NJPW than TNA’s previous offer. Today he was interviewed by the Taz Show: Bodyslams & Beyond and answered a Q&A.

Styles was asked:

Are you interested in signing with WWE/NXT?

“At this point in my career, I’m going to go do what’s best for my family and I want to do what’s best to provide for them. So, the business that we’re in, if the business could be better somewhere else, then that’s where I’m going to go. That’s what I’m going to do. So, like I said, it’s a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that’s where I’ll go,”

The former TNA Superstar seems to be interested in joining NXT but also reveals that he’s happy where he is as of now. As reported WWE was interested in bringing AJ Styles to the company but he was tied down with a contract with NJPW as the new face for the Bullet Club faction, replacing Prince Devitt aka Finn Balor

Styles on which Wrestler would he like to face that he has never wrestled before

“I’d like to wrestle Rey, Rey Mysterio, before he retires. I think we could have a pretty cool match and it would be a pretty big match, the two of us, so I’d probably get that done. I would imagine you would have to come off the hip with some money for Rey, but it would be fun. It depends where we do it,”
