5) “How do you feel about Damian Priest being inserted into a feud with Finn Balor to offset the lack of a payoff for the WALTER/Imperium storyline?”
MANGO: It’s okay. Things could be much, much worse. Priest has a track record of attacking people, so it makes sense why he’d be the one to attack Balor. The two can have a good match, too. But I’m not sure why they’re positioning Balor as a heel who is fighting other heels, rather than just a tweener or a babyface at this point. Then again, maybe they are, and it’s just not translating well to me.
STAPLE: Truth be told, I just want to cut straight to Walter chopping Finn Balor into oblivion. To me, Damian Priest merely serves as a halftime performance.
ABSLER: It is very disappointing when feuds start, but don’t finish, especially when it is one you are so excited for like Balor vs Walter. Given the global pandemic, however, there’s only so much we can do about this one. Hopefully when things go back to normal we will be able to see the feud again, but for now Priest seems like a very fitting and challenging opponent for the Demon.
DUNNING: It’s good business. NXT UK is out of the picture for now, and it makes sense to give Balor a new opponent. I’m sure they’ll pick the Walter storyline back up as soon as possible.
