4) “If possible, should WWE have anyone at all in the stands like AEW has done with Dynamite, or should it stay completely empty?”

MANGO: Safety is the biggest thing. If there is a way to do that without putting people at risk, WWE should absolutely do that. It was significantly easier to watch Dynamite in comparison. But maybe WWE can do something else like pipe in crowd noise or get live audio feeds from fans watching and Skyping in, somehow, so we’re all contributing remotely? I doubt that’s possible, but it’s just a thought. Even still, if they could have the other wrestlers who would be backstage sitting out and reacting, that would be great, and all they’d have to do is lower the lights so you couldn’t see who was cheering or booing.

PUGLIESEE: No. I don’t even think AEW should have had as many people there as they did.

BALAZ: Yes, HELL – WWE should have all the lower/mid card guys wrestling for the 24/7 belt during Mania in the stands. Could even be amusing segues to other matches. Maybe they chase the guy to the beer stand and they all run away from the Corona sign, a female wrestler gets the title and she runs into the bathroom so you just see the guys standing outside (like a bathroom queue) making small talk…really easy sight gags that could add levity.

MITCHELL: I would love if they allowed the other stars that are part of the show out there to watch and react. For example, if the women’s matches are all on Day 1, let Becky be out there to razz on Bayley or Charlotte, but then they return the favor when Becky has her match with Shayna. It’d make for great character continuity and a little extra fun for viewing audiences.

ABSLER: I think WWE should experiment with some people in the stands like AEW, and continue to do what they’re doing. While no audience is a major set back, it provides some unique creative outlets for the show.

EWING: They would benefit by having WWE backstage staff, Legends, Hall of Famers, families of the WWE Superstars and staff that be a part of the “audience”, so to speak. Can you imagine, for example, if you had The Iron Sheik and Sgt. Slaughter in the crowd being “wrestling fans” again? Cheering. Booing. Belittling the WWE Superstars during the matches and whatever. This is a big area of opportunity that WWE can capitalize on. Anything beats having no crowd at all, in my opinion.

SCAFIDE: Completely empty or don’t have the show at all. Keep it completely empty.

CASSADA: Crowd reactions are important to a show, and I loved how the wrestlers were at ringside during the AEW matches. To me it made it more entertaining to watch. It was great seeing the other wrestlers support their co-workers, plus it gives them the possibility to set up feuds down the line.

HIRSCH: I loved the dynamic AEW went with, as it reminds me of my indy wrestling days going to shows with my brother. I’m not sure if WWE should have the performance center empty, but at the same time, they shouldn’t completely copy AEW either.
