Last week, WWE announced that they would be returning to a live touring schedule starting this July. The tour is scheduled to start in Texas with an already guaranteed 25 shows traveling across the country. WWE has not toured in front of a live crowd since February of 2020, so there is a lot of excitement revolving around this tour.

WWE has already started to advertise the return of Edge for their first Texas show. Eva Marie is scheduled to come back soon as well so they might wait until she is in front of a crowd for her return. John Cena is also rumored to be coming back for this tour as he has expressed interest in returning and WWE undoubtedly would want him back.

Stars like “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt as well as Becky Lynch could also return sometime between now and SummerSlam.

WWE might want to consider bringing in a few of their former stars to help boost their ratings and build even more reasons for fans to attend their shows. These stars are some they should consider bringing back for a tour as important as this one.

Daniel Bryan

Let’s start with an obvious one. Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract recently expired and it is still up in the air what the future holds for him. Bryan has said that there is still a lot that he would like to do in the wrestling business before he officially retires.

Bryan was last match was a few weeks ago on SmackDown taking a loss to Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

As the leader of the Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan has a strong connection with the crowds. WWE would benefit from bringing him back to an arena full of yes chants. Putting him on Raw would do a lot for their ratings as well.

Raw has been struggling to pick up ratings for a while now but a feud with Daniel Bryan and stars like AJ Styles, or Matt Riddle would really spice things up.

Again, it is unknown what the future holds for Daniel Bryan’s WWE career but if he were to come back then waiting to surprise the live crowd would make for a thunderous crowd reaction.

Brock Lesnar

“The Beast” Brock Lesnar has not been seen since WrestleMania 36 when he was defeated by Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

Lesnar is a huge draw for the WWE and they are in need of some big draws with their touring schedule opening back up. His athletic abilities are remarkable and some have said he is the best athlete grace the ring.

There is a lot they could do with Lesnar right now though. The first would be pairing him back up with Paul Heyman. Heyman is currently the advocate for Universal Champion Roman Reigns but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t turn on him.

Reigns and Lesnar have a long history together and the two have put on some amazing matches. One more match with Heyman at the forefront could be a good way to spice up the current main event picture.

Another way could be to put Lesnar back on Raw to have a long-awaited match with current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Even if the title was not on the line, this is a match that fans have wanted to see for a very long time.

Lashley has said multiple times that he came back to WWE because he wanted to have a match with Lesnar. These two massive stars going one on one would be a perfect gift for the fans in general; adding the live crowd is just a bonus.

Victoria

Victoria is a former WWE women’s champion and has wrestled in multiple different promotions. She recently returned in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble and showed that she still has what it takes to keep up with the current Women’s Division.

She was a very dominant presence when she was a full-time member of the WWE roster and she would make a perfect opponent for many of the current members. Her experience alone would be a benefit to many of the newer superstars and she could help improve their careers.

Bringing her in as part of the mid-card for the Women’s Division would be a perfect spot for her. She received praise for her last appearance via social media and many fans were calling for her to come back.

RVD

Rob Van Dam was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021 and he has been featured more and more on WWE TV as of late. If he were to come back for one final run in the company, now would be the time to make that happen.

RVD has said that he has no plans on going back into the ring for now, but anything can happen in this business and he is one of the most entertaining stars since the 1990s. He is a former World Champion in multiple promotions and has performed all over the world. That experience alone could be beneficial for many of WWE’s upcoming talent.

Bringing RVD back to compete against some of WWE’s younger talent would be a way to help make them stars. RVD against someone like Elias, who is someone that already is a heel could help establish him as a top star.

He could also come in and work a program with Matt Riddle as the two have teased wanting to work together on multiple occasions. The two would put on a fast-paced match but they would also make for a very entraining tag team.

If RVD plans to end his career soon, WWE would be the best place to do it.

The Rock

The Most Electrifying Superstar in all of WWE Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a star whose return would benefit WWE no matter when it were to happen.

He is undoubtedly one of the most popular and busiest people throughout the whole world, but he has always said WWE is his home.

Every time The Rock returns, it makes for huge ratings for the company and a great reaction from the crowd.

The Rock’s Cousin Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion and has taken claim as “The Head of The Table” for their family. Obviously, The Rock is the more famous of the two and could make rightful claim to that title.

Now, it does not have to be for the Universal Championship because it does not appear that he would have time for a full championship run. What WWE could do is put the “Head of the Table” claim at the forefront of the match.

The Rock could come out on top and take the claim over the title. WWE could even have Roman Reign’s shockingly win the match and keep the claim. The Rock putting over his cousin in a match of that caliber would solidify Reigns as the top heel in the company for a very long time.

Either way, a surprise return of “The Great One” would do nothing but make the fans happy and it would be perfect for the return to live crowds.
