I have the power!!!!
How true these words are today. When I was young I watched WWF Superstars and many of the pay per views. I bought the merchandise and followed my favorite wrestlers faithfully, and although supporting my favorites then is nothing compared to what we as the WWE Universe can do now by supporting them.
In a recent special about Daniel Bryan’s journey to WrestleMania XXX, it showcased just how vocal we as the universe could propel an athlete. Don’t get me wrong Daniel Bryan is a tremendous athlete and deserved his championship run, but even he has said it wouldn’t have been possible without the fans being behind him.
Daniel said the night after WrestleMania 28 the crowd started the Yes movement that would follow him for the next two years. The WWE had no other choice but to put the belt on Bryan. I know myself personally we as fans felt like we were being screwed over just as much as Bryan was every time he didn’t get the title. But we stuck with him, and At Wrestlemania we got our payday.
I know there are some that are going to say that Vince is going to do what he wants to in the end and that may be the case, but somewhere in the back of his mind he hears us. He hears the chants for certain superstars. He hears the way we sing, “He’s got the whole world,” the way we boo and cheer for John Cena. We are shaping the landscape of what the industry is becoming. As fans we need to hijack every Raw, Smackdown, and Pay per Views. I’m not talking about chanting for C.M. Punk (although I wish he would come back) but cheering for your guy and booing who you don’t like.
Let your voice be heard WWE Universe. There are many underutilized talents like Dolph, Damien Sandow, and Cesaro that could take that next step to stardom. And who knows we just might be the push they need! Let you voice be heard!!!!!
