Impact Wrestling Results For November 4th: Young vs. Roode

A teaser for Jeff Hardy’s interview is played following a recap of last week’s world title series matches. Madison Rayne puts over the Knockouts division saying they are the ones who really started a revolution.

Singles Match: Brooke vs. Madison Rayne

They grapple and exchange hip tosses at the start. Brooke nailed Rayne with forearms, but hurt her hand and was knocked down. Brooke bounced back with a clothesline and bounced off the middle rope to knock Rayne down. Brooke goes high risk and connects with an elbow, but couldn’t secure a three-count.

Brooke picks Rayne up, but her hand gives out. Rayne takes advantage by landing the Rayne Check for the victory and three points.

Winner: Madison Rayne

Eric Young is in the parking lot and claims he has a target on his back. He says no one is better than him. He insinuates that he’s planning to attack Roode before their match.

-Commercial Break-

A video package hyping up the main event between Booby Roode and Eric Young airs.

Singles Match: Bram vs. Rockstar Spud

Bram gets in Spud’s face and talks down to him. He shoves Spud and holds his head, mocking him. Spud slaps him twice and nails him with multiple forearms. Spud continues to chip away at Bram. With Bram on the outside, Spud tries to connect with a dive from the apron, but Bram slams him into the steel steps.

Back in the ring, Spud tries to mount an offense with a dropkick in the corner. Spud lands a modified shining wizard. He goes for the Underdog, but Bram counters and kicks him. Eventually, Bram hits the Brighter Side of Suffering to earn three points.

Winner: Bram

Roode says he couldn’t care less what EY says. He says he hasn’t forgotten about EY costing him the TNA world championship. He says he will close out 2015 as a double champion.

Another teaser for Jeff’s interview is shown.

Singles Match: Manik vs. Mandrews

The two exchange holds to get the match started. Mandrews starts getting the better of his opponent, but he can’t keep a strong grip on the wristlock. Manik works the arm of Mandrews, twisting and stomping on the limb. Mandrews backdrops Manik and dropkicks him low. Manik hits a back elbow but is on the receiving end of a hurricanrana.

Mandrews connects with a springboard DDT. He goes to the top turnbuckle, but Manik rolls out. Mandrews goes for a standing moonsault, but his opponent gets his knee up. Once again with Manik down, Mandrews goes high risk for a shooting star press, but Manik gets his knees up. Manik hits the Detonation Kick and now has six points in the world title series.

Winner: Manik

The Wolves discuss their match against each other tonight. Edwards jokes that he will be the better man. They shake hands.

-Commercial Break-

EY claims when he promises something, it’s not a matter of “if,” but “when.”

We cut to Jeff’s interview. He admits the start of 2015 wasn’t too hot for him. They recap his hard fall on the steel steps earlier this year after James Storm hit him in the back of the head with a cowbell. He says he enjoyed getting revenge on Storm in the cage match.

He talks about breaking his leg in a dirt bike accident. He says fear got to him, and if he had pushed harder, he would’ve been fine.

Singles Match: Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards

The two competitors trade arm locks with one not being able to outdo the other. Edwards leaps over Richards, who applies a submission hold, but is reversed into the same submission after a failed pin attempt. They both counter each other’s moves and have each other well scouted.

-Commercial Break-

Richards lands a dropkick on Edwards followed by a snap suplex. Richards goes for a boot, but Edwards slides under and hits an atomic drop. He then hits a running knee but doesn’t find success with the pinfall. Richards perches Edwards on the top turnbuckle and lands a super plex.

Richards goes high risk but misses the double foot stomp. Edwards and Richards exchange unique pins but are unable to best each other and time runs out as Richards lands a clothesline. They each earn one point.

Result: Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards Fight To A Draw

A video plays showcasing Matt Hardy’s world title series wins. He is officially advancing in the Group of 16.

-Commercial Break-

The Wolves say they didn’t expect anything less than what happened in the ring. Richards says the fans are the third members of The Wolves. Edwards says it’s about the Wolves Nation.

Part two of the interview with Jeff is shown. He says watching Matt vacate the tag team titles was the most depressing moment he’s had professionally. He says he knew Matt could win the world title. He discusses becoming EC3’s personal assistant and how frustrating it was. He has no regrets attacking EC3 at Bound for Glory but admits it was wrong to attack a competitor when he was a referee.

Roode looks for EY in the parking lot. He dares EY to hit him. Young says his work is already done since he’s gotten in Roode’s head.

-Commercial Break-

Kenny King says he has some personal issues with Mahabali Shera. He says it’s all business tonight.

Singles Match: Mahabali Shera vs. Kenny King

King has some difficulty dealing with the power of Shera early on. King secures a headlock on Shera, but Shera uses his strength to hit a backdrop. King lands an elbow and goes high risk for a flying neck breaker.

King nails Shera with a spin kick to the back of the head for a two-count. King looked to double knee Shera in the corner, but nobody was home. King elbows Shera and goes for a tornado DDT, but Shera catches him with a Sky High mid-air for the win. He now has six points total in the world title series.

Winner: Mahabali Shera

-Commercial Break-

A recap of tonight’s world title series matches is shown. This is followed by a final hype video for Roode vs. Young. EY is in the ring. He calls the fans idiots and says he is a world-class professional wrestler and man. Roode makes his entrance.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Eric Young vs. Bobby Roode

EY charges at Roode right out the gate, but Roode pops him with multiple shots and a clothesline. A back body drop connects for Roode, who sends his opponent to the outside. Back in the ring, EY goes for a double ax handle, but Roode hits him in the body. EY rakes the eyes and hits a neck breaker for a two-count.

Later on, EY goes for a Piledriver, but Roode reverses with a pin for a near fall. Roode goes to the middle rope and jumps, but EY puts referee Earl Hebner in the way. This throws Roode off guard and EY capitalizes with a Piledriver for the win and three points to stay alive in the series.

Winner: Eric Young
