~ Stardom Wrestling has announced through their Twitter accounts that Hana Kimura sent a letter informing them that she will be touring Mexico for the next three months.

Hana Kimura along with her Oedo Tai stablemate Kagetsu recently lost the Goddess of Stardom Championships to Mayu Iwatani & Saki Kashima. Oedo Tai held the titles since June 21st of last year and has successfully defended them 7 times.

The only team to surpass their reign in terms of defenses and length was Thunder Rock (Io Shirai & Mayu Iwatani) who were defeated by Oedo Tai (Kagetsu & Hana’s mother Kyoko Kimura).

However, Hana is schedule to appear at ROH Best In The World along with Mayu Iwatani & her Oedo Tai stablemates Hazuki & Kagetsu, but plans could change at any given time due to the arrangement.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

~ Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has awarded Hiromu Takahashi vs Taiji Ishimori at the Battle of the Super Jr. Finals with a rare 5.5 Star match rating.

The last match to achieve that honor was Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada at Wrestling Dontaku for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

CMLL

~ Rey Fenix is scheduled to make his CMLL debut on Friday. Interesting enough, Fenix recently made his return to AAA at their ‘Verano de Escandalo’ event after the main event which saw Jeff Jarrett defeat Rey Wagner and Rey Mysterio Jr. to capture the AAA Mega Championship.

Fenix fought off Jarrett and the rest of MAD. Fenix had agreed to work AAA dates prior to making the CMLL deal. So he will fulfill his obligations to AAA under the name ‘Fenix’ and compete in CMLL & Independently as ‘Rey Fenix’.

~ Yusaku Obata suffered a heat stroke his Zero-1 World Heavyweight Title defense against Masato Tanaka on June 3rd. Due to this, the match and championship was awarded to Tanaka. The heat stroke was said to be brought on by dehydration.

However, it was discovered during his examination that he had suffered a chipped bone and fracture in his neck. It was said that he had some trouble breathing which was the reason given for the thorough examination.
