Notable Superstars Missing from the Card

Note: This is not a full list of everyone on the roster who is not scheduled for the show. It excludes jobbers, injured talent, people who wouldn’t have normally been expected to appear on the show for some fashion, those who are unable to perform due to travel restrictions and so on. It also should be noted that much of the information regarding COVID-19 pandemic regulations and precautions is not public knowledge, so there’s no telling if anyone on this list or elsewhere is not going to be on the card due to those factors.

205 Live Representation = Santos Escobar isn’t defending the Cruiserweight Championship. That means no Curt Stallion, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Tony Nese, The Bollywood Boyz, Mansoor, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott or any number of other guys who are typically wrestling in that division.

Aliyah = The Robert Stone Brand hasn’t had much action as of late. Curious why that’s the case.

Austin Theory = Simply put, there’s no spot for him on this card unless they were to book him in an impromptu kickoff segment or something. I’d be okay with that. I actually like Theory and wish he’d be booked more often and more seriously. However, I doubt this will happen here.

Boa and Xia Li = The mystery of their master is very intriguing, but it’s not the type of angle to play out at this event. That’s exclusively a television storyline. I’m more than okay with them skipping this show, even though I’m really interested where this all leads. I have no idea, so that’s fun.

Breezango = These guys dropped the tag titles to Lorcan and Burch, but since The Undisputed ERA is already a quartet, they basically needed to step aside. That’s a shame for Tyler Breeze and Fandango, but I get it. Hopefully, they’ll get a chance for revenge sometime soon after this show, even though I don’t think they should win the titles back.

Bronson Reed = Homeboy was getting a serious push there for a little while, but has fizzled out. These past few weeks, he’s done nothing. What’s up with that? No minimalist feud, at least?

Ever-Rise / Imperium / Grizzled Young Veterans = These teams are feuding at the moment. That’s not important enough to push anything else off the card, but it will be interesting to see how things play out. Are GYV considered babyfaces now? Strange if that’s the case.

Kushida = Kushida’s been kind of hovering other people’s feuds as of late with a particular focus on Tommaso Ciampa. Strange how much crossover they’ve had. It would be nice to see him fight for the Cruiserweight Championship soon or start a program with a guy like Theory or Pete Dunne.

The Spitfire Warriors = Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter were used as sacrificial lambs to help set up Team Candice, but weren’t deemed important enough to be on Team Shotzi. That’s a shame. I don’t disagree with the call, based on who was on the team, though. Those four are definitively bigger deals. Still, I’d like to see more for Catanzaro in particular.

Velveteen Dream = After his fights with Kushida and Ciampa, he’s disappeared. Injuries? Backstage stuff? Creative has nothing? I don’t think he’s exactly missed right now, but the longer this goes on, the more curious it will be.
