Rebooking WWE FastLane

This year’s installment of WWE Fastlane was in my opinion, by far one of the worst pay-per-views as it featured typical Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn booking.

And so without further delay, this is what I thought should have happened in Cleveland, Ohio:

Sami Zayn should have cost Kevin Owens the match against Dolph Ziggler.

When he made what seemed to be his official WWE main roster debut at last month’s Royal Rumble PPV, the former NXT Champion got into it with Owens and WWE Fastlane would have been the perfect time to exact revenge by helping Ziggler defeat Owens. However, Owens retained the title with Zayn was notably absent.

The Wyatt Family should have defeated Big Show, Kane & Ryback.

Big Show and Kane are two of the few WWE Superstars that both McMahon and Dunn envy since the days of the Attitude Era. However, defeating Big Show & Kane as well as Ryback would have boost Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan & Luke Harper’s momentum but McMahon & Dunn’s loyalty to the two veteran giants once again derailed the youth movement.

Enzo & Big Cass should have interrupted New Day’s segment with Edge & Christian.

The talk show segment where Edge and Christian interviewed New Day would have resulted in a perfect time to introduce Enzo & Big Cass to the WWE main roster but it turned out to be another lame comedy filler segment which saw the League of Nations get into it with the other guys.

Chris Jericho should have turned heel against A.J. Styles.

After Styles defeated Jericho in their match, Jericho responded by shaking Styles’ hand and patting each other on the back. In my opinion, Jericho should have turned to the dark side by attacking Styles to extend their feud heading into WrestleMania 32.

There were several better options than R-Truth vs. Curtis Axel.

The Dudley vs. The Usos. Neville vs. The Miz. Even Natalya vs. Alicia Fox. These were just a few better match instead of this lame comedy filler match.

Dean Ambrose should have defeated Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar.

Reigns is seen as McMahon’s pet project since The Shield made its debut during the 2012 Survivor Series due to his size and unique look. But it’s Ambrose who has been very over with the WWE Universe due to his unique character. But, it was yet another Reigns victory as Reigns faces Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 32 while Ambrose gets demoted to afterthought.
