Sting injured his neck during his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at last night’s Night of Champions PPV event. The injury occurred when Sting took a back first turnbuckle bomb from Rollins. Sting had trouble moving around after that spot and trainers came into the ring to check on him.
The talents were told to go home and the match finished shortly after with a small package. Off camera, Sting was helped to the backstage area by trainers and the referee.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer mentioned on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Sting’s injury is significant.
