It feels to me like WWE wanted to be involved in an animated film and for it to give them more mainstream coverage, but since it was released on Paramount+ instead of the intended theatrical release in 2020, and because the movie just isn’t all that good, WWE’s washed their hands of it.
Frankly, after watching it, that’s what I want to do, too.
