Seth Rollins to become the face of the WWE?

Seth Rollins won the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble Match and will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 35.

WWE made the match official after the end of Monday Night RAW, in which the Beast Incarnate decimated Rollins with six F-5s.

For many fans, the victory of Rollins at the 2019 Royal Rumble was predictable and the best option the company had. The Kingslayer eliminated Braun Strowman and secured his ticket to the Grandest Stage Them All.

At the same time, it seems the WWE has made the decision to make Rollins the face of the company and that will happen by defeating Lesnar and becoming the new Universal Champion.

With Roman Reigns out due to health issues, the company is in search of their next top male Superstar. 2018 was arguably the best year of Rollins’ career, while his babyface character has made him a fan favourite among the WWE Universe.

Rollins is also considered one of the most deserving superstars of a main event push and the WWE is planning to hand the Universal Title to the best and most consistent male superstar of the entire roster right now.

This will be the first time that these two superstars will go head-to-head. Their one-on-one encounter at Battleground three and a half years ago had been interrupted by the Undertaker, while the history between the two starts in March 2015.

At WrestleMania 31, Rollins made arguably the best Money in the Bank cash-in in WWE history, when he spoiled the match between Lesnar and Reigns and claimed the WWE Championship.

Fast forward to today, and with the Elimination Chamber and Fastlane still ahead, it remains to be seen how the company will build this blockbuster match between Rollins and Lesnar.

At the moment, though, the plan of the WWE is to proceed with Rollins defeating Lesnar and becoming the new face of the company.
