As of late there have been recent talks of Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement. Now “HBK” has not wrestled a match since 2010 at WrestleMania 26 against the Undertaker. As of late you have seen him getting more involved in matches or segments where he gets more physical.
I am a Shawn Michaels fan; I respect him for what he has done. He has won the WWE title four times, tag team champion six times and Intercontinental three times. He held matches of the year six years in a row from 2004 through 2010 from pro wrestling illustrated which is a heck of an accomplishment. All of these championships is my point, there is nothing else to prove to the “WWE Universe”
I don’t care who he faces Daniel Bryan, CM Punk or anyone else you want to throw at him, no one will care the weight that the Undertaker brings at WrestleMania. He would not only damage his legacy but his word as he has stated that he will never come out of retirement. I don’t think he should because if you look at guys like Ric Flair and Mick Foley who has promised that they would stay retired and come out to damage their legacy. In Mick Foley recent DVD, he has stated that he should have stayed retired back in 2000 or even 2004. He is in rough shape but in “HBK” state he is living good and has his own projects on the side.
Would I like to see him have one more match, it would be interested but I would have my expectations at a certain bar that he cannot reach anymore. He has a background story with Daniel Bryan and they could have a good match but not a great 5-5* Match. It’s just not possible.
Shawn is 48 years of age, at some point everyone has to retire and I strongly believe Shawn Michael should stay retired.
