Tiger Mask vs Dynamite (4/21/1983)

This was during the time just before Hulkamania kicked off in the United States, and Ric Flair was leading the way as NWA Champion. Over in Japan, these two were tearing the house down consistently, as they battled one another in an exciting series of matches. Match #7 happened in April 1983, and it was declared the first 5-star match of all time by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Tiger Mask II vs Kuniaki Kobayashi (3/9/1985)

Mitsuharu Misawa is known for his great wrestling matches, so I wanted to bring you this little gem. It was the first 5-star match Misawa was involved in, and he played Tiger Mask II after AJPW bought the rights to the Tiger Mask gimmick from NJPW. At this point in his career, he had been wrestling for four years.

Ric Flair vs Barry Windham (2/14/1986)

This was the first 5-star match (rated by WON) worked by two American wrestlers. Ric Flair’s NWA title was on the line. Consider this the main event of the edition, as it’s easily the longest of the three. Get your tea and biscuits ready for this one folks … Enjoy!
