Top 6 Superstars Most Likely To Be Released

Being released from the WWE has been described as “the worst day of my life” by countless athletes. Most performers upon their release can understand why it happened. Sure, they may work just as hard, but if WWE doesn’t need them on TV, then they’ll save some money and release the talent. WWE hasn’t had one of their signature “spring cleaning” dates in awhile, but it’s only a matter of time before Vince sends these three women, and these three men packing.

6. Erick Rowan

The 6 foot 8 inch, 315 pounder will most likely be “future endeavored” the next time WWE releases a talent. Although he’s shown the potential to get over (Survivor Series on team Cena vs The Authority), WWE’s poor booking and his previous injury troubles have held the Minnesota native back. As soon as he split from the Wyatt family, Rowan became close to useless. Unfortunately, this is a classic example of a talent that WWE just doesn’t need. They can survive without him and Vince won’t hesitate to save his money.

5. Dana Brooke

Ex-fitnesse model turned wrestler, Dana Brooke has struggled in the ring over the last two years in WWE. After a premature NXT call-up, and some time in Charlotte Flair’s shadow, Dana Brooke was turned loose to have lackluster singles matches with the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Nia Jax. Now, without bashing her further, she has the look of a top star in the company and had greatly improved both on the mic, and in the ring, but sadly, Dana may be better off showing off her physical specimen in fitness magazines than WWE TV.

4. Aidan English

As soon as Simon Gotch and WWE parted ways, English was left in a terribly awkward position. Once a former NXT Tag-Team Champion, was now left as an unprepared singles star in “the land of opportunity”, Smackdown Live. English is now floundering in his overuse of the theatrical gimmick, and used mainly as a joke to either put over talent, or beat main event talent with a rollup and getting nothing out of it. Until WWE starts taking the Chicago brawler seriously, neither will us fans. Unfortunetely, WWE is better of without him.

3. Paige

It’s only a matter of time before Paige is released by the WWE. Since her Neck injury– which she refused to tell anyone about– Paige has been the center of a number of domestic abuse charges, as well as Nude Leak scandals, and failed drug tests. Paige is nothing but trouble for the WWE and although she is talented, she’ll ultimately cause irreversible damage to the reputation and image of the company.

2. Curt Hawkins

Yes, he is talented. No, WWE couldn’t figure out how to use him. After his initial release from the company, WWE fans were disappointed to see Hawkins go. But then, he was rehired! Fans were excited to see him return and hopefully flourish in the mid card title picture. Sadly, however, WWE slapped a Chuck Norris Bootleg comedy gimmick on him, and have forced him to job to jobbers. In fact, last month, Hawkins reached a losing streak of 100 matches. WWE simply doesn’t need him, as they have plenty of other enhancement talent.

1. Summer Rae

How many times over the last year have we heard: “Summer Rae is cleared to return” and she hasn’t. She isn’t injured anymore, yet hasn’t made her long awaited WWE return. Even while healthy, Rae was never in the WWE Diva’s title picture and was never a valuable in-ring talent. She was always better suited as a manager or valet, and she was extremely good at that. However, her ballroom dancing gimmick and love angle with Dolph Ziggler killed her momentum before it even got truly started.
