Top Contenders To Win The Royal Rumble (PT.1)

With the Royal Rumble weeks away I wanted to give my top five picks to possible win it all at this pay-per-view. On this edition we are starting with Number five: Sheamus

The “Celtic Warrior” has been sidelined with a torn ligament in his shoulder since August 7th of 2013. Rumors say he is ready to return and why not at the Royal Rumble. Each year WWE has surprise returns, so it would be fitting for Sheamus to return to the WWE in a big way.

Sheamus before being injured was in a comedy rut and had no real direction, with him coming back several months later he could really reinvent himself. I think he should come back as a heel because he needs a change. When he debuted in WWE 2009 he was a top heel and it fits with him. No WWE will have him return as a face but either way it would be nice. He could come in late and start cleaning house.

Sheamus is a guy that you can put in a main event slot because he can hold his own, he is a guy that can work with anyone and is a top contender for the WWE world heavyweight title. He has been WWE champion twice and World Heavyweight champion once. He won the Royal Rumble in 2012 to go on to beat Daniel Bryan in eighteen seconds at WrestleMania 28.

WWE has proven they believe in Sheamus and at this year’s Royal Rumble he could be in the final four or in my book a number five pick to win it all.
