Welcome back to another Monday Morning Q&A where I toss out some questions to get a feel of how you guys and gals are feeling about certain topics.

So here are 5 questions I’d like to toss out for this week. I’ll give my answers, too, but the key here is that I want to know what YOU think! So make sure you chime in!

1) Do you want Bobby Lashley to be added to the WWE Championship match at Day 1, or would you rather it stay a Triple Threat match?

Frankly, I don’t see the point. I’d rather it not be a scenario where WWE books people to feud where the game plan is to have a messy ending so they can run the same match back again and stretch it out. I don’t want to see Big E fighting Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and/or Bobby Lashley well into January and February. I would have rather it just been one of them so we could do one at a time for 3 months instead of all 3 for 3 months in different formats.

It seemed like there was already an understood idea for how this would go, too. Owens would take the fall so Rollins could bitch and complain that he deserves a rematch. By Royal Rumble, Owens would likely have left WWE. Big E vs. Rollins would take place at Royal Rumble and after that, Big E would move on to someone else for February and March to lead into WrestleMania, although I have no idea who that could be setting up.

Now, with Lashley involved, it just seems like this is going to stretch into March and I don’t like it one bit. Is this because they have nothing else for Lashley, or because they actually wanted to add another person into this title hunt?

I hope WWE has a plan to make this all interesting and not in an “I’m interested because this is a mess and I don’t know how they could do something so stupid and problematic” way, but I don’t have a lot of faith that’s the case. Instead, I just assume this is going to be a drawn out bore for 4 months, despite how all four guys are super talented and I’m a fan of all of them. This just isn’t doing it for me.

2) RK-Bro won the poll for best tag team in WWE today. The New Day won the Triple Threat match. Who do you think is the best tag team in WWE right now?

In the grand scheme of things, The New Day as a trio is still the tag team I’d consider to be the best overall. However, in this very time frame in particular, I have to stick with RK-Bro. Their matches are rock solid and their chemistry is one hundred percent the most interesting parts of Monday Night Raw that are actually worth watching. Too many other tag teams, like Super Brutality (Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley) are pale imitations.

Behind them, I’d actually put Legado del Fantasma. I’ve been a big fan of that group since they formed. Although Elektra Lopez doesn’t hit the same marks for me, I think there’s potential in her inclusion, too.

3) More and more hints and signs point to the NXT Cruiserweight Championship and 205 Live in general being changed and/or going away. How would you like to see this go down and how do you think it actually will be adjusted?

Since Joe Gacy already lost to Roderick Strong, I’m hoping that means he’s not in line to be the next champion. Instead, if they’re going to just get rid of this, I hope what happens is two-fold.

First, I think Strong should stay champion. He shouldn’t pass the belt on to someone else who makes the changes. It should be Diamond Mine who institutes the change. They already did agree to drop the weight limit, so why not just continue that thread? It’s not as though WWE isn’t just ignoring its own ideas and changing on the fly constantly these days anyway, so one more instance of that wouldn’t hurt.

Second, I think Malcolm Bivens should be the one to cut the promo explaining all this. He should say that Diamond Mine is all about forging people into better athletes and that happens through a process called evolution. The caretaker of NXT, Triple H, knows all about evolution. Here, NXT is about the future, and that means everyone needs to evolve. Therefore, the cruiserweight title is no longer that. Instead, it is called the NXT Evolve Championship and 205 Live will therefore be called NXT Evolve.

The belt is already purple. Just go with a purple brand theme, change the plating a bit and have Strong as the figurehead of that show for the time being. Then, start a tournament for who can challenge him and have that winner beat him for the title.

My ideal choice, now that Johnny Gargano is out of the company and we can’t make him a Grand Slam Champion in NXT, would be either Xyon Quinn or Odyssey Jones.

4) Do you expect to see Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly or any surprise additions to the AEW roster at Winter is Coming?

Yes. Unless there is some sort of contractual issue that gets in the way, I’m anticipating Kyle O’Reilly joining the roster and doing something alongside Adam Cole and Bobby Fish.

Tony Khan knows how great The Undisupted ERA was. If he’s able to get O’Reilly, he’s going to get him. Khan not only values that style of wrestling, but also the tag team division. Making sure O’Reilly and Fish can be a duo as an element of The Elite without being directly tied to the inner core of it (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega with Adam Cole as the go-between for those two sides) seems like a priority.

Johnny Gargano isn’t someone I’m expecting to see, nor do I think anyone else will show up. If we randomly see an appearance by Ashante “Thee” Adonis or Tegan Nox, for example, I’ll be very surprised. But hey, if that’s the case, I’ll surely be surprised and entertained.

5) Do you want MJF to win the Dynamite Diamond for the third time in a row, or for Dante Martin to get the upset?

It seems like the go-to idea would be for CM Punk to screw MJF and for Martin to win it, right? However, I feel like that’s so obvious that I just want MJF to win it for the third time anyway. That’s better for his character to keep that going, make it a trifecta and disappoint the fans hoping for something like that.

If it were someone else and not Dante Martin, I think I’d be more keen on the idea of Punk costing MJF. Martin’s just not someone I picture making good use out of that by any means, with or without Lio Rush getting involved.
