Why the Big Show Being The United States Champion Is “Best For Business”

It was announced on Monday Night RAW earlier today that John Cena will defend the United States Championship at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view on Sunday, October 25th, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California against an unannounced opponent. With Cena expected to take a couple months off to film his reality show, it is widely expected that Cena will drop the title that night.

And so let’s decipher which WWE Superstar would be the most likely choice to defeat Cena at Hell In A Cell. It had been rumored that Dolph Ziggler could be turning heel due to his former relationship with Cena’s girlfriend, WWE Diva Nikki Bella but Ziggler will instead be competing on the Hell In A Cell kickoff show in a six-man tag team match as he teams up with Neville and Cesaro taking on Sheamus, Rusev and King Barrett.

Which brings me to my likely choice for Cena’s opponent – the Big Show. Even though the Big Show hasn’t been involved in a storyline as of late (he was even left off the Night Of Champions card last month), keep in mind he is seen as not just Vince McMahon’s favorite wrestlers but he is also one of the very few wrestlers that WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn likes as well due to his size and intimidating personality and when you have huge support from both McMahon and Dunn, then you are bound to get pushed heavily in the WWE.

Even though the IWC may not like this move, having Cena put over the Big Show at Hell In A Cell would mean that the United States Championship would not be lost in the shuffle during Cena’s absence should the Big Show be the champion compared to if say, either Dolph Ziggler or Cesaro were the champion considering that they are not McMahon or Dunn’s favorites.

In other words, expect the World’s Largest Athlete to be the new United States Champion come Sunday simply because it’s “best for business.”
