Welcome everyone to another addition to Wrestling Whispers.

Between the aftermath of AEW: Revolution and preparations for WrestleMania, there’s a lot of buzz circulating around the wrestling community.

Concern about Shayna

The current plan for WrestleMania is Shayna Baszler challenging Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship.

However, there’s some concern about Shayna’s role as a championship contender. On the past Monday’s episode of RAW, Baszler fought Kairi Sane. Their match wasn’t a hit with fans who chanted, “this is boring.” Not only did Shayna fail to impress fans, but also (allegedly), her boss Vince McMahon.

Even with Vince possibly questioning things; plans moved forward in the Elimination Chamber. Yet, this match was also not received very well; with a very heavy handed attempt to make Shayna look strong.

Ronda’s return?

It’s been over a year since Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania main event match against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

Since then the star’s been absent from WWE television. But earlier this week, Rousey was seen at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

This has led to speculation on whether Rousey is ready to return to WWE. Given that her friend Shayna Baszler is in a feud with Ronda’s former rival Becky Lynch, this would be the perfect time for Rousey to make a comeback.

Jon Moxley’s title win

Wrestling Whispers

Last Saturday at AEW Revolution, Jon Moxley beat Chris Jericho to become the new AEW Champion.

Plans has been in the works for a while to have Moxley become AEW Champion.

Based on the events on this past Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, it appears Moxley will be continuing his feud with Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle.

But down the line, AEW could be planning for Moxley to reignite his feud with Kenny Omega or start a new rivalry with Hangman Page.

Lance Archer’s debut

NJPW star Lance Archer was supposed to make his AEW debut last week. The company had been promoting Archer’s appearance leading up to Wednesday’s episode, but Archer never showed up.

No reason was given for Archer’s absence, but he is a new signee to AEW and should be making his debut very soon.

Jake Roberts’ client

Jake Roberts made a surprise appearance on last week’s episode of Dynamite to announce that he has a new client that he’s bringing to AEW.

Speculation is already starting about Jake’s mystery client. So far Lance Archer and Brodie Lee are the top two contenders, and Matt Hardy is also considered a possibility.
