This past Thursday, we recently had a conference with our attorney in regards to the purchase and acquisition of WWA Superstars of Wrestling by the WWE. The WWE has taken our offer, and they said that they will be producing us with a counter offer in the near future. Given the history between our two companies, it appears that we will finally be on the same page for the first time in nearly 30 years. We don’t expect to hear anything from the WWE for the next 2 weeks or so considering the holidays, but perhaps a week or so into the near year we will have some developments. We will also be taking some time off for the holidays, but following New Years we will be returning. What is currently happening is historical, and unprecedented. Albert Patterson, for almost 40 years has owned produced shows and created future WWE hall of famers under his Superstars of Wrestling banner. Some of the superstars that have been featured on WWA television (Superstars of Wrestling television series & Superstars of Wrestling television programming) include the likes of Macho Man Randy Savage and Cowboy Bob Orton. Albert Patterson is one of the few African Americans to own and operate a wrestling company, and the fact that he is now in negotiations with the WWE for his trademarks is a testament to his vision, and rival companies willingness and efforts to work with or compete against him. Given Mr. Patterson’s history and involvement in wrestling, its a possibility that a hall of fame nod from the WWE could be added to the deal.
