Notable Superstars Missing from the Card

Note: This is not a full list of everyone on the roster who is not scheduled for the show. It excludes jobbers, injured talent, people who wouldn’t have normally been expected to appear on the show for some fashion, those who are unable to perform due to travel restrictions and so on. It also should be noted that much of the information regarding COVID-19 pandemic regulations and precautions is not public knowledge, so there’s no telling if anyone on this list or elsewhere is not going to be on the card due to those factors.

AJ Styles / Matt Riddle = Did these two start a feud, or was that a throwaway match? Frankly, with how few matches have been announced for this event, I don’t think WWE even knows at this point.

Angel Garza = Splitting him from Zelina Vega and Andrade has been a great move so far, hasn’t it? So far, Andrade’s lost a couple matches and went undrafted. Vega lost all her matches. Garza beat Humberto Carrillo for the 50th time on Main Event. Way to go.

The Hurt Business / RETRIBUTION = I was really hoping these two factions would have a match at Hell in a Cell so that it wouldn’t get in the way of Survivor Series. PLEASE don’t waste Survivor Series on this RETRIBUTION bullshit.

Braun Strowman / Keith Lee = With one non-ending and one shady finish, these two are far from done fighting each other. Since WWE didn’t bother announcing a rematch for this card, either they think it’s not worth announcing until the last minute (which means they don’t really value it) or they plan on just having them continue this feud on Raw.

Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss = My guess is we’ll see them interfere at the end and either cost Drew McIntyre or Randy Orton the win, or attack one of them post-match.

The New Day = No established challengers. Not surprised this belt isn’t on the line yet.

Ricochet = These days, unless he’s fighting The Hurt Business, Ricochet has nothing to do.

Sheamus = No new feud has been firmly established yet for The Celtic Warrior after the draft.

Asuka = Amazing how even when you have a championship, WWE still can’t be bothered to figure out a storyline for you a purpose for you on a card. The writing team and/or VM really can’t focus on more than a handful of talent at the same time, right? Maybe that just goes to show that there shouldn’t be six in-ring shows per week if you can’t figure out how to fill those 10 hours with more than a handful of angles.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler = These two just beat every other tag team on Raw. What would be the draw if they have one of those teams challenging them again? Watching them lose again for the second time in a week?

Aleister Black / Kevin Owens = I guess this feud is over, now that Owens decided it was a better use of his time to try to form a tag team with Daniel Bryan.

Big E = Big E simply didn’t do anything on SmackDown this week and since Sheamus is on Raw now, he’s in limbo until they figure out a new feud for him.

Daniel Bryan / Sami Zayn = Since Bryan said the Intercontinental Championship should be defended every week and Zayn disagreed, there’s a chance they have a match randomly announced on this show. Of course, in typical WWE fashion, at 11:15 pm on Friday night, that’s still not been the case.

Dominik and Rey Mysterio / Murphy / Seth Rollins = Can we just end this feud? It’s been going on for MONTHS and they’re really dragging out each little plot element in its most excruciatingly long way possible.

King Corbin = No feuds going on right now.

Lars Sullivan = If he has a match, it will probably be just destroying Chad Gable or something like that. Not anything worth getting invested in or talking about.

The Street Profits = No established challengers yet, however, it wouldn’t shock me if WWE just had another rematch with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode penned for this event.

Bianca Belair = My guess is she’s just going to be featured getting wins on SmackDown for a while rather than having any actual feud.
