“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

Seth Rollins, Big Show, Kane & Randy Orton Kick Off RAW

This week’s show opens with Byron Saxton, JBL and Booker T being
shown at the commentary table. Saxton explains why he’s out there
instead of Michael Cole. He tells us that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
are on vacation and won’t be here this week.

After some highlights from WrestleMania 31, we see Big Show standing
next to the commentary table alongside the Andre The Giant Memorial
Battle Royal trophy. Inside the ring is Seth Rollins, Kane and J&J
Security.

The fans in Austin, Texas boo Rollins as he tries to begin speaking.
The fans won’t quit boo’ing so Big Show tells everyone that this is our
champion and to show some respect. He enters the ring. Rollins talks
about HHH and Stephanie being on vacation this week.

“You sold out! You sold out!” chants fill the arena as Rollins says,
“I really, really thought we were over this, guys!” Rollins brags about
some of the records this year’s WrestleMania broke, but the biggest
take-away from this year’s WrestleMania is that “The Authority always
wins.”

He talks about some of The Authority’s accomplishments at
WrestleMania 31. He talks about Triple H beating Sting. He talks about
Big Show winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He tries to
come up with something for Kane, but stutters and says “….and Kane
…Kane was there! Kane was there, too! Yeah!”

Big Show takes over and thanks Rollins. He says he’s no longer under
Andre The Giant’s shadow. He says he’s the greatest giant of all-time.
He says everyone in WWE is now under his shadow and then puts over
Rollins for ending the night at WrestleMania this year by becoming the
new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Show sucks up to Rollins some more
and then introduces him as the champion to the fans in Austin.

As Kane tries to take his turn talking he is interrupted by Randy
Orton. “The Viper” makes his way out and stops at the top of the stage.
Orton says Rollins won the title at WrestleMania but he also lost to
Orton after he hit the greatest RKO of his career on him. The fans chant
“R-K-O! R-K-O!”

Rollins tells Orton that he always sees things like the glass is half
empty. Orton says he’s not complaining, he’s telling it like it is. He
says he beat him at WrestleMania and he deserves the chance to beat him
again, but this time for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
“Wouldn’t that be best for business?!” Orton says to the crowd. The fans
cheer.

Orton asks the “Director of Operations” Kane if he thinks that’s a
good idea. Kane doesn’t say anything so Orton mocks him by asking if he
needs to ask “mommy and daddy” first. Kane says he is the Director of
Operations and tells Orton that unfortunately for him, there are other
Superstars in consideration. He says tonight there will be a
triple-threat match to determine the number one contender who will face
Rollins at Extreme Rules. The match will feature Roman Reigns, Ryback
and Orton.

Kane vs. Randy Orton

Kane says each of those three will compete in singles competition
before the triple-threat main event tonight. He says Orton’s match is
next — against him. Rollins complains off-mic to Kane as Orton makes
his way down to the ring. The Authority clears out of the ring, all
except for Kane, who is waiting for Orton to enter the ring. The
announcers sell the announcement that was just made as the bell rings to
make this one official.

Kane and Orton duke it out from the bell, with Orton establishing
early control. It doesn’t last long, however, as Kane knocks Orton off
the top rope and out to the floor as Saxton takes us to our first
commercial break of the evening.

When we return from the break we see Orton headbutting his way out of
a bear hug. Orton fires away with punches as the crowd cheers him on.
Kane cuts Orton’s offense comeback short as he floors him with a big
boot to the face and then goes to work on him in the corner.

Kane continues to deliver punishment until Orton catches him coming
off the ropes with a quick body-slam. Orton follows that up by blasting
Kane with his draping DDT off the middle rope. Orton turns into “Viper
mode” and waits for Kane to get up. Kane realizes this and slides out to
the floor, however Orton follows him out and blasts him with a
clothesline and then back-drops him across the top of the barricade.
Kane grabs a chair and nails Orton with it in the mid-section so the
referee calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: Randy Orton

After The Match

After the Lilian Garcia announces Orton as the winner by DQ, Kane
drags Orton into the ring. As Orton gets up, Kane goes for a chokeslam,
however Orton avoids it and reverses into an RKO attempt. Kane avoids
the RKO and slides out to the floor and retreats up the ramp as Orton’s
music plays.

Matches Announced For Tonight

We shoot back to the announce table where Byron Saxton, JBL and
Booker T reveal the other two matches that the other two members of
tonight’s triple-threat match will have to compete in. In separate
singles matches scheduled for tonight prior to the main event of the
evening, Roman Reigns will take on Big Show and Ryback will take on Luke
Harper. On that note, we head to another commercial break.

AJ Lee’s Retirement

When we return from commercial we return to the announce table where
Byron Saxton talks about AJ Lee announcing her retirement. Her music
plays as the announcers read a tweet posted by AJ addressing her
retirement.

Backstage: Kane, Brad Maddox & Seth Rollins

We shoot backstage and we see Brad Maddox talking to Kane. Kane is
upset and yells at Maddox, asking him who he thinks he is. Rollins
bursts in and asks Kane who he thinks he is. He talks about Kane seeming
to have a problem with Rollins as the leader of The Authority. Kane
tells him he helped him with many of his biggest accomplishments. Kane
explains why it’s good for business for Rollins to defend his title at
Extreme Rules against a top competitor. Kane qustions if Rollins is
scared. Rollins gets worked up and denies being scared.

Rollins tells Kane he should step down as Director of Operations and
he thinks HHH and Stephanie would agree with him. Kane tells Rollins
where they’re on vacation at and says there’s no communication with them
so he’s running things tonight whether Rollins likes it or not. Rollins
storms off but then comes back. He tells Kane that HHH and Steph might
be unreachable right now but when they get back, Kane is gonna have a
lot of explaining to do to them. Kane tells Rollins he’s in control
tonight and what’s best for business is Rollins competing in a match
tonight. He tells Rollins that his match is next, but doesn’t say
against who.

Brock Lesnar’s Attack From Last Week

We go back to the commentary team where the guys talk about Michael
Cole’s injuries. They say Cole is contemplating suing Brock Lesnar. They
then talk about the punishment Lesnar got for his actions. They show a
video package of Lesnar snapping last week on RAW.

Seth Rollins vs. Neville

After the Lesnar video package, Rollins’ theme hits and out he comes
with J&J Security. The announcers point out that Rollins has no idea
who he’s about to face. Lilian Garcia does the official introduction
for Rollins. The announcers again question who Rollins is going to face.
We head to commercial without finding out. We will find out — next!

As we return, Rollins and J&J Security are arguing off-mic as
Saxton and JBL plug the free month of the WWE Network for the month of
April. After the plug we head back to the ring. It’s time to find out
who Rollins’ opponent is. It’s Neville.

Neville makes his way to the ring to a good pop from the crowd in
Austin, Texas. Lilian Garcia does the official introduction for Neville
as he enters the ring. The fans chant “NXT! NXT!” as Rollins gets on the
mic.

Rollins says he certainly wasn’t expecting this. He asks the WWE
Universe to give a warm welcome to Neville. The fans cheer. Rollins says
Neville just made his RAW debut last week and now he’s standing in the
ring with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He tells Neville to tell
these people a little about himself. He puts the mic near Neville but
then pulls it away. He tells Neville he was a “rook” once before too. He
says, “Why don’t you just sit this one out, pip-squeek, how’s that
sound?”

Neville responds by spin-kicking Rollins in the gut and knocking him
down. Rollins finally makes it back to his feet and the referee calls
for the bell.

Rollins and Neville are flying all over the place now. Rollins
finally catches Neville with a knee to the face coming off the ropes and
appears to be the first person to establish offensive control in this
one.

Rollins blasts Neville with a few chops and then puts the boots to
him in the corner. Neville flips his way out of the corner, flips across
the ring and then hits the ropes and headscissors Rollins out to the
floor. Neville hits the ring and does a big flipping-dive onto Rollins
on the floor. Rollins freaks out with J&J Security as we head to a
mid-match commercial.

We’re back from the break and the first thing we see is Rollins
firmly in control of the match. The announcers point out that Rollins
has been dominating the action throughout the break. We see some replays
of Rollins slamming Neville’s head into the middle turnbuckle. Rollins
chokes Neville and asks if he thinks he can hang with the big boys.

JBL keeps accidentally calling Neville “Adrian Neville.” Meanwhile,
Neville is making his comeback in the ring. Rollins cuts it short with a
big kick to the back of Neville’s head. The announcers are selling the
fact that Rollins, the champ, is having his hands full with the newcomer
Neville. Rollins continues to dominate Neville. Neville gets a
schoolboy hope spot but Rollins kicks out and continues to beat down the
former NXT Champion.

“All that flippy-flopping don’t help when you get punched in the
mouth,” says JBL, as Rollins continues to control the rookie in the
ring. Neville hits a jawbreaker on Rollins to slow him down. Neville
starts punching his way back into the match. He knocks Rollins down and
then hits him with a couple of spinning back-kicks to the mid-section
before Rollins cuts him off with a big clothesline.

Rollins slaps Neville around and asks him who he thinks he is
stepping into his ring. Neville fights back. Neville nails Rollins with a
high kick to the face in the corner. He goes to the top rope for the
Red Arrow, but J&J Security get on the apron to distract the ref.
Neville comes off the top and grabs Rollins. He rolls him up but Rollins
kicks out at two. Rollins powerbombs Neville back-first into the corner
and then Curb Stomps him. 1-2-3. Rollins wins.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After The Match

After the match, Rollins has J&J Security hold Neville so he can
Curb Stomp him again. Rollins hits him with another Curb Stomp and then
taunts him by rubbing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in his face
while he talks trash. Rollins holds the title high as his theme music
plays again. He and J&J Security leave.

WWE United States Championship

– John Cena (c) vs. Stardust

The announcers hype John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge, which is coming up next. On that note, we head to another commercial break.

When we return from the commercial, John Cena’s theme hits. The U.S.
Champion makes his way to the ring as Lilian Garcia does the official
introduction.

Cena gets on the mic as the announcers promote the fact that Cena is
going to be on Chris Jericho’s live podcast on the WWE Network after
RAW. Cena says “The champ is here!” as the fans respond with their loud
mixed-bag reaction.

Cena talks about the U.S. being the land of opportunity. He says last
week he had the first U.S. Open Challenge and gave someone an
opportunity. He says Rusev wants his U.S. title rematch at Extreme
Rules, but he’s more focused on tonight. He says he’s going to defend
the title tonight in Austin in the second U.S. Open Challenge.

Cena hands the title to the ref and waits to see who accepts his
challenge. Stardust’s theme music hits and out he comes as the
announcers treat it like somewhat of a joke. The bell sounds and here we
go.

Both guys battle back and forth. Stardust counters a Cena move with
another roll up for near fall. Cena slams Stardust and calls for the
Five Knuckle Shuffle. Stardust blocks it with a kick to the head and
nails a big DDT for another two count. Stardust charges but Cena catches
him and locks in the STF. Stardust makes it to the bottom rope. Cena
pulls him back but gets kicked off. Stardust hits the falling inverted
DDT for a close two count. Stardust argues with the referee about the
count. Cena blasts Stardust with an Attitude Adjustment. 1-2-3. Cena
wins.
