Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown, Bray Wyatt opens the show with a backstage promo about Ryback. He will make Ryback pay for his mistakes, make him scratch and claw his way to silence. He will make Ryback’s dreams become his personal nightmare.
Dean Ambrose walks down to the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. Highlights from this past week’s RAW is shown with Ambrose standing tall in the ring. He said that he fights, drinks and stands all alone is what he will do this Sunday at Payback. He says that everyone is for themselves this Sunday, he listed the competitors. He hit the Dirty Deeds on his best friend and wants to apologize to Roman Reigns. This leads to Reigns making his way through the crowd and to the ring. Ambrose told him that in fact he will not be getting an apology from him. Reigns said that’s fine, but it only happened one time and at Payback, it’s time for him to get payback on Seth Rollins. Reigns said that at Payback, he’s bringing the big guns and he hopes that Ambrose does the same. Kane makes his way to the stage and books Ambrose in our opening contest against Sheamus.
-Commercial Break-
Singles match: Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus.
They lock up, Ambrose threw him into the corner, but ran and ate an elbow by Sheamus. This leads to Sheamus hitting an uppercut, a powerslam and landed some right hands. The fans got behind Ambrose, Sheamus hit him in the gut, then worked him over in the corner. Sheamus missed a clothesline, Ambrose off the ropes with a forearm shot. Ambrose ran into a big boot and Sheamus missed a splash. Ambrose with a forearm, a bulldog and landed some chops. Ambrose with some back, elbows, he was kneed in the face by Sheamus and fell to the floor. Sheamus tossed him into the barricade as we go to break.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back from break with Ambrose fighting out of a headlock. He goes to the top rope, but Sheamus meets him there. They exchange right hands, Sheamus went for a suplex, but Ambrose blocked and tossed him head first into the ring post. Ambrose with a roll up for the win.
Winner: Ambrose
Kane and Seth Rollins are shown talking in the back. Rollins reminds him of the stipulation that is in place for the WWE title match at Payback.

Lana with Rusev are in the ring. She cuts a promo about how dedicated she is to Rusev and her mother country of Russia. Rusev told her to get out of the ring and started talking about John Cena. He played a video of John Cena saying “I-Quit” over and over and over.

Seth Rollins cut a promo about his upcoming title defense at the Payback PPV. Ryback makes his way down to the ring for his match with Rollins, but during his entrance is attacked by Bray Wyatt, who is hiding under the ring. Referees check on the big guy.
-Commercial Break-
Back from break, Ryback is in the ring and ready to go.
Singles match: Seth Rollins vs. Ryback.
Rollins went right to the head and neck of Ryback. However, Ryback fought back with his own. Ryback slammed him down over and over. Rollins cut him off with a neck breaker for 2. Ryback tossed him off of him. Rollins went to the top rope, but caught and Ryback hit a powerslam. Ryback with a spinebuster for 2. Ryback went for the meathook clothesline and nailed it. He went for Shell Shock, but Rollins raked the eyes and hit a kick to the face of Ryback. Rollins to the top rope, hit a flying knee to the face of Ryback. Rollins hit the superkick, he hit another and covered Ryback for the win.
Winner: Rollins

Naomi with Tamina Snuka cut a backstage promo about the Bella Twins. She said that she is tired of being overlooked and that’s the reasons he is doing what she’s doing.
Singles match: Tyson Kidd vs. Kofi Kingston.
They lock up, Kingston with a kick to the gut of Kidd and then hit a reverse suplex into an arm drag. Kingston missed a clothesline, Kidd tossed him to the floor and hit a dive over the top rope taking out Kingston. Back in the ring, Kidd went for the sharpshooter, but was distracted by Woods and Kingston rolled him up for 2. Kidd blocked a kick and locked in the sharpshooter for the win.
Winner: Kidd

Highlights of Daniel Bryan’s announcement from RAW are shown. Bo Dallas cut a promo about Daniel Bryan during his entrance.
Singles match: Neville vs. Bo Dallas with King Barrett on commentary.
Complete squash match, Neville hits his signature moves and finished poor BO off with the Red Arrow.
Winner: Neville
Post-match, King Barrett cut a promo on Neville about how he needs to be changed and punished. He said that at Payback, Neville will get just that with a royal bull hammer.
-Commercial Break-
Adam Rose is shown throwing down a rosebud after he confronted Rose about money. Rose starts making out with Rosa Mendes as Kane walks by with a disgusted look on his face.
Main Event: Roman Reigns vs. Kane
Reigns and Kane started brawling before the match even started at ringside. Kane sent Reigns shoulder first into the steel steps. Match starts, Kane tried to hit Reigns with some steel steps, but Reigns moved and he sent Kane face first into the ring post. Reigns started hitting him with a kendo stick. Back in the ring, Kane grabbed the stick from him and started hitting Reigns with it.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back from break with Reigns making his comeback on Kane. Reigns sent Kane into the barricade then went under the ring to grab a table. Matter of fact, count that two tables that he gets. Reigns set up one table in the corner, Kane grabbed him and hit a DDT to Reigns. Kane sets up another table, he went for a chokeslam, but blocked. Reigns with a series of headbutts. Reigns went for a superman punch, but Kane caught him, then chokeslammed him through a table. Kane went for a tombstone, but Reigns blocked and speared him through a table set up in the corner for the win.
Winner: Reigns
Reigns celebrated in the ring, but we see Dean Ambrose attacking Seth Rollins in the back. The numbers game is too much for Ambrose and J&J security attack him. Reigns ran in with a cart to make the save. Ambrose and Reigns are standing face-to-face with each other. They glance down at the WWE Title then looks back up at each other. Ambrose puts the title on Reigns shoulder and said that he would take it from him on Sunday.
