Welcome to Thursday Night SmackDown, Kane walks down to the ring to open the show. He cuts a promo about being back in WWE and how happy he is. He said that WWE is on fire right now then announces Kevin Owens and Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler and Ryback plus Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper with Dean Ambrose banned from ringside. Seth Rollins walked out to the stage and said that Kane needs to stop pretending who he is. He brought up RAW and that Kane is playing everyone by being corporate Kane. Rollins said that Kane tried to drag him to hell. Kane said that he is standing right here, and it’s him, not the demon, who wants to make Rollins suffer. Rollins said that Kane is not fit to do his job anymore nor to be around him anymore. Rollins told Kane that he needed some serious help. Kane booked Rollins vs. Ambrose in the main event.

Singles Match: Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper.

The two men start brawling to begin the match. Harper rolled out the floor and caught Reigns with a big boot after Reigns chased after him. Back in the ring, Harper hit a sitdown powerbomb for 2. Harper went for his clothesline, but Reigns blocked and nailed him with a spear for the win.

Winner: Reigns.

-Commercial Break-

– New Day cuts a pre-match promo about how they will avoid going through a table and retain their Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz at the MSG live special on October 3rd.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons and Neville.

Sin Cara and Big E start things off, Cara sent him out of the ring and to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with The New Day in control of Kalisto. Moments later, Kalisto manages to make the hot tag to Sin Cara, who began to hit a series of dives onto Xavier Woods. Cara dumped all three members of New Day to the floor as he and his teammates hit three dives taking the trio out. Back in the ring, Woods kneed Cara in the face for the win.

Winners: New Day.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Cesaro vs. Bo Dallas.

Both men lock up; Cesaro started throwing Bo around like a sack of potatoes. Bo landed a knee strike to the gut of Cesaro and the locked in a side headlock. Cesaro fought out of that and rolled up Bo for the win.

Winner: Cesaro

-Commercial Break-

Charlotte and Becky Lynch are in the ring cutting a promo about the big win. Charlotte said that they wanted to come out here and thank all the fans for being so supportive of the Divas Revolution. This leads to Paige walking down to the ring. Paige talks about starting the Divas Revolution and how she’s the one who should be thanked for it, not them. Natalya interrupts and walks down to the ring. Natalya said that Paige should be happy with how things are now. Paige wanted change, and that’s what she got. Paige agreed, but also stated that Natalya let the Revolution pass her by, and now she’s trying to be relevant. Paige slaps Natalya and leaves the ring.

Tag Team Match: Ryback and Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev and Kevin Owens.

Ziggler and Rusev start the match off. Rusev kicked him in the gut then landed a series of right hands to the face of Ziggler. However, Ziggler fought out and landed a drop kick. He was distracted by Owens and walked into a power slam by Rusev for 2. Owens tagged in and put the boots to Ziggler.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Owens and Rusev in control of Ziggler. The fans chant for Ryback, and that’s what they get. Ziggler manages to get the hot tag to Ryback, who clears the ring on Rusev. This leads to Kevin Owens thinking twice, and he walks to the top of the stage. Rusev is distracted by this so much that Ziggler hit the superkick to him, and Ryback hit the Shellshock for the win.

Winner: Ryback and Dolph Ziggler

-Commercial Break-

The Dudley Boyz cut a backstage promo about how The New Day doesn’t look or even act like champions. That will all change on October 3rd as they will become the ten time Tag Team Champions.

Main Event: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins.

They lock up then exchange forearm strikes. Ambrose tossed Rollins to the floor as we go to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Rollins in control of Ambrose. Moments later, Ambrose fought back and went for a DDT, but blocked. Rollins connected with a super kick for 2. Rollins went to the top rope, but Ambrose met him on the second rope and tossed him off. Ambrose covered him for 2. Ambrose went to the top rope, but Rollins met him up there and went for a suplex, but Ambrose knocked him off. Ambrose missed a dive, Rollins went for a roll up and only got 2. Ambrose dumped Rollins to the floor. Ambrose hit a dive through the ropes taking out Rollins. Back in the ring, Ambrose hit a fisherman suplex for 2. Rollins connected with an enziguri to the face of Ambrose. They exchange right hands, Rollins hit the sling blade the went for pedigree but blocked. Rollins poked Ambrose in the eye then hit the buckle bomb. Kane’s pyro went off and this distracted Rollins. Ambrose rolled up Rollins for the win.

Winner: Ambrose.

Post-match, Rollins grabbed the microphone and said that he is tired of the mind games by Kane. Rollins stated that no matter what he is still the man and raised the WWE Title above his head to close the show.
