With Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose claiming they have found a tag team partner for their upcoming six-man tag team match at Night of Champions against The Wyatts, more speculation has risen as to who it could be.
Randy Orton and Eric Rowan was at the top of the list as the possible partner, but those two are likely not the former Shield members partner.
When asked on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the possibility of The Rock being their partner.
Melzer doesn’t think so due to The Rock being scheduled to film the next season of Ballers in a couple of weeks. Also, if WWE did indeed want him to show up and wrestle, The Rock would want some sort of build to his return and not just be a surprise on the show.
Reigns and The Rock are cousins.
