Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

NXT Deadline 2024 is in the bag (results here) and you know the score by now, I want to hear your highs and lows! What were your biggest positives and negatives of the event? Which moments stood out to you as the best and the worst? What are your takeaways? So on and so forth!

My question for you today is “What are your pros and cons of WWE NXT Deadline 2024?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

I’m not sure which of the two Iron Survivor Challenge matches I liked best to put that as my highlight, so I’m going to somewhat cheat here and say that the Iron Survivor Challenge matches were my highlight. Ha.

If I had to pick, I’d probably lean toward the men’s match, but both had their merit. Admittedly, I do think Oba Femi being Eddy Thorpe’s replacement will be disappointing if Femi doesn’t just beat Trick Williams for the title at New Year’s Evil, but that remains to be seen. Not having someone like Hikuleo show up isn’t necessarily a bad thing yet, for those who were hoping for him to be the surprise.

When it comes to the women’s match, I feel kind of the same way, in that Giulia should beat Roxanne Perez and become champion. Since I don’t think both titles will change hands at the same televised show to start off the year, one of them has to lose, at least, and I’m going to be annoyed if WWE gave Giulia this win just to have her come up short a second time. At that point, I’ll have wished they gave it to Stephanie Vaquer or Sol Ruca so they could lose and it wouldn’t be that just Giulia can fail to beat Perez.

Match-quality, though, those were the two best contests and the most fun I had watching the show.

As far as low points, the NXT Underground match is narrowly beaten out by the NXT Championship match. I like Trick Williams a lot, and I like Ridge Holland more than the average person, I guess, but I almost fell asleep during the match and I wasn’t even particularly tired. It was just too generic and I wasn’t invested in the storyline. This felt like complete and utter filler, so since they didn’t do anything to wow me and really grab my attention, I just found myself tuning it out and waiting for the bell to ring.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
