As we inch closer and closer to WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, March 29th, 2015 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
With the main matches expected to average 30-40 minutes each, don’t expect a huge card for WrestleMania 31 as a result.
And so without further delay, here is my projected card for WrestleMania 31:
THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR BATTLE ROYAL (PRE-SHOW MATCH)
PARTICIPANTS: Adam Rose, Alex Riley, Bad News Barrett, Big Show, Bo Dallas, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, David Otunga, Dean Ambrose, Diego, Erick Rowan, Fandango, Fernando, Goldust, Heath Slater, Jack Swagger, Kane,Luke Harper, Mark Henry, The Miz, Rob Van Dam, R-Truth, Ryback, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Titus O’Neil, Zack Ryder
Ah, the annual “creative has nothing for you” battle royal. It’s where most of the male mid-card wrestlers who are without a storyline get thrown in a filler battle royal in an effort to get just about everyone on the WrestleMania 31 card. And to make matters worse, expect this match to take place on the WrestleMania 31 card kickoff show instead of the main card.
THE USOS VS. CESARO & TYSON KIDD VS. THE ASCENSION VS. KOFI KINGSTON & BIG E (FATAL 4 WAY MATCH FOR THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP)
This is in my opinion another filler match as a way to get four tag teams to face each other. Expect Jey and Jimmy Uso to face three other tag teams in this match, very likely Cesaro & Kidd, New Day, and The Ascension.
BRIE BELLA VS. NIKKI BELLA (LUMBERJILL MATCH FOR THE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP)
LUMBERJILLS: A.J. Lee, Alicia Fox, Cameron, Emma, Eva Marie, Layla, Naomi, Natalya, Paige, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae, Tamina Snuka
It seems as if though WWE Creative is more interested to shoving Total Divas down our throats instead of promoted the likes of Charlotte and Sasha Banks to the main roster. With the Bella Twins being the central characters of E!’s hit reality show, look for the sisters to feud for the Divas title at the “Show of Shows.”
DANIEL BRYAN VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER
I expect Dolph Ziggler to turn heel by costing Daniel Bryan his match against Roman Reigns at WWE Fast Lane, resulting in this match.
RANDY ORTON VS. SETH ROLLINS
The Apex Predator was last seen on the November 3rd, 2014 episode of RAW when he was taken out by Seth Rollins. Now that Rollins is seen as the “Face of the WWE” by The Authority, look for Randy Orton to get his revenge sooner rather than later.
JOHN CENA VS. RUSEV
I look for this battle between United States of America and Russia to continue after WWE Fast Lane when Rusev gets the victory over John Cena thanks to his sexy but evil manager Lana. Can Cena pin Rusev for the Total Athlete’s first true loss?
STING VS. TRIPLE H (WINNER GETS CONTROL OF THE WWE)
The seeds for this feud were planted at last November’s Survivor Series pay-per-view when Sting cost Team Authority the victory over Team Cena, prompting Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to be removed from power (at least temporarily). But Seth Rollins would do anything to bring The Authority back, going so far as to break Edge’s neck to order to force John Cena to bring The Authority back and has succeeded. With Triple H and Sting expected to meet at WWE Fast Lane, could this be the start of a feud that has the power of running the WWE at stake?
THE UNDERTAKER VS. BRAY WYATT
Bray Wyatt has been bragging about dominating the WWE as of late as he had a great showing at the Royal Rumble match. The reason for Wyatt’s huge push as of late could very well mean that Wyatt could be facing the most intimidating man in the WWE yet: The Undertaker.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. BROCK LESNAR (WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP)
Reigns may have won the Royal Rumble match, but his win has met with controversy as the WWE Universe wanted Daniel Bryan to win. However, WWE Officials see Reigns as something that Bryan does not: size and look are all that matters. Add to both Vince McMahon and Triple H very high on Reigns as the successor to John Cena as the numero uno babyface in the WWE, will Reigns end Lesnar’s title reign at WrestleMania 31?
