AEW Collision for this weekend is going to be taped in advance tonight after Dynamite, and scheduled for the Slam Dunk Saturday portion of the broadcast is a TNT Championship match between Daniel Garcia and Adam Cole, where everybody is banned from ringside.
My question for you today is “Do you think Cole should win the TNT Championship? Why or why not?”

As far as my answer…
Should Adam Cole win the TNT title? Absolutely. But should it happen now, dethroning Daniel Garcia? I’d say no, now is not the time.
To be perfectly honest, I don’t watch Collision most of the time. Since Garcia seems to wrestle a lot there and less on Dynamite, I feel like I’ve been missing out on his championship run. But while I take responsibility for that portion of it, I still feel as though his reign hasn’t been all that great, based on what I have seen, and more importantly, the complete lack of buzz going on from people who do watch everything all the time. I simply don’t hear anything about this run, and it makes me think that Garcia is one of those champions like how WWE books Shinsuke Nakamura, where Tony Khan put the belt on him because it felt right, but doesn’t actually want to do much with him.
It doesn’t seem like he’s held it all that long, even though I know that that’s not the reality. More so, it just seems like he’s a paper champion who isn’t making a mark. And while that may seem like an endorsement for Cole because it’s the perfect reason to take the belt off Garcia and do something different, I don’t think Cole is the right guy for the title, either.
Rather, I’d have someone else beat Garcia. My go-to pick would be Ricochet, as I don’t think he’s winning the International/Continental Championship if they’re seemingly merging them, but I do think if his heel character is going to keep up the momentum, a title will ensure that.
Cole, on the other hand, needs to win the trios titles alongside Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong. Having those belts on Death Riders isn’t doing them any good when the focus is just on Jon Moxley and his lackluster world title reign. Give the gold to someone else so they can make that section of the division mean something, rather than keeping it as a side project.
