Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
Last Saturday, Naomi and Seth Rollins won the Money in the Bank briefcases. So far, Rollins was seen on Monday Night Raw, and Naomi can be expected to show up in some fashion on SmackDown.
In some cases (no pun intended) Superstars are eventually given custom briefcases to showcase their personalities and to try to move more merchandise, as unique designs tend to sell rather well, apparently.
My question for you today is “Do you think either of them will or should have custom MITB briefcases? If so, what designs should they go with?”
Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answer…
Since nothing’s already happened with Rollins, and I’m kind of unsure what they would even do with him given his odd attire he wears on a weekly basis, I think we can rule out that he’s getting a custom briefcase.
However, with Naomi, I’m starting to think that not only will she get one, but that that may have even played a part in the decision to give her the contract in the first place.
The most obvious route to go would be to design a custom MITB briefcase for her that is built around her new caution tape aesthetic, like the one in the image above from @CallMeGlow28.

It’s simple, but effective. Immediately, you know it’s held by the person who is also completely covered with the caution tape (duh) and if WWE is selling that new character as unhinged and ready to snap and be meaner than ever before, that fits with the cash-in concept, too. Essentially, any champion has to be cautious that Naomi could swoop in and snatch the title away from them at any given moment.
That’s also a design that isn’t too feminine, if that’s something WWE had in mind. Not many men would be willing to pick up the pink Tiffany Stratton briefcase, and not many women would have ran out to get Damian Priest’s “Señor Money in the Bank” one, either. Caution tape, though, is gender-neutral and just evokes a sense of danger.
